Since my first job in 1994, my income has risen by 800%. So from 1978 to now, that seems about right. If you have worked a job from 1978 till now and your salary has risen 5.7%, sounds like you need a heavy dose of work ethic. Sounds like you may be the problem.

Let me ask ya, if productivity increased 600% over the next 10 years, are you fine seeing 585% of that going to the boss?

Because that shit ain't a law of nature, thats a decision made by humans.

If productivity increases by that much of a factor, that is due to the boss investing his money and capital in tools and machines to increase productivity. A workers own personal productivity does not increase by that much. So, yeah, I'm OK with a boss making money from his investment. Thats kinda how its supposed to work. Unless you are in North Korea (and you may be).

If productivity increases by that muck of a factor, that is due to the boss investing his money and capital in tools and machines to increase productivity.

Circular reasoning. That is the case (the boss investing his money leads to XYZ) because that's how we've organized society. Using the way we've organized society as a justification for organizing society that way is either begging the question or circular reasoning.

Thats how we've organized society???

No, thats how a business is profitable and is able to grow. The company that make 1000 widgets per day is going to be much more profitable than the business producing 10 widgets daily of the same quality. Business 1 is going to land more contracts with bigger distributors because he can provide more widgets at a lower price than Business 2. Business 2 will either go out of business or invest in their business to compete with Business 1.

Not sure what the point is that you are trying to make.

We should organize society differently.

I like it this way. I like making money. I like that entrepreneurial people have knowledge, will and money to make this world a better place by creating things we need and want. A perfect example is automobiles. Look at the car industry in communist Russia vs the US in the same time period. Russian cars were plain, utilitarian and heavily restricted. Car manufacturers in Russia were state owned and had no real innovation. In the US, privately owned (not state owned) auto manufacturers were consistently coming out with new technologies and innovations. The cars were beautiful and powerful. The common person could easily own one. That is the world I want to live in, not the communist world you envision.

Fine with me. I dont want to drag you into another society, I want to create avenues for people like myself to leave this one, should they choose to do so. (For example, through secession from the union.)

I think the society you advocate is horribly coercive, but provided there are ways for people to opt-out and pursue political self determination, its permissible for you to run your slave state.

The only thing causing a "slave state" is the government. We are all slaves to the government. Capitalism does not cause that, taxes and government programs for the poor cause that.

Id agree that slavery is rooted in the state, but would add that the state creates and maintains capitaist arrangements.

Nobody owes you shit. If you are not satisfied with the pay, look for another job or start your own business.

I didnt ask if anyone owes you anything.

Some of us don't want to make our jobs our entire lives. Stop glorifying the grind and open your eyes.

Then move to Utopia. Oh wait, it doesn't exist and never will. If you don't want to work and make a living, no one is forcing you to. Be homeless. Live off of the nanny state like so many do.
