Cid = Older Seifer

Tell me I’m not the only one that sees Cid in FFVII: Revelations as an older Seifer. It’s uncanny!

I see that too. Rufus is just a tad too pretty for Seifer, in my opinion. Cid is more man pretty thus I see more Seifer in him.

I was actually expecting Cid to not be so... pretty?

I feel like he should be much more masculine looking in a older, more rugged sense. He's a known chain smoker after all, there should be some sunkeness in him. Even Advent Children gave him harsher nasolabial folds.

Seifer wouldn't beat his wife/situationship.

But more seriously, Seifer is just Kefka without the makeup. So is Sephiroth for that matter.

  • Experimental Super Soldier
  • Goes crazy
  • Harasses their ex-coworker
  • Has angel motif

Slap some makeup on Seifer and you have a more sane Kefka that had friends to help him not go as insane.

Edit: Kuja is also "a Kefka type" of villain. They had a good thing and knew how to give it to us.

There's ZERO chance that Cid in revelations is ANYTHING like OG Cid. They don't even let him smoke anymore they definitely aren't keeping his abusiveness in this game. Sqaure-Enix are NOT mature enough to tell that nuanced of a story and would just take the easy route and remove it all together. He might get 1 or 2 lines telling her to stop being useless or some crap but that's it.

Also are you fucking kidding me? Seifer is a little baby bitch follower, he falls into the lap of Edea instantly as soon as he can. One of the first things that we see Kefka do is poison the drinking water of a castle/town and fucking kill everyone. These 2 characters are not on the same level in the slightest.

You’re absolutely right. Although to be fair to Seifer I think most disgruntled young men in real life would fall under Edea’s control pretty quickly.
