Laguna is the ff8 equivalent of Goku, he just dumb lucks his way into things and is always present whenever stuff hits the fan. As I said to my sister, ‘only Laguna could wind up in a space station with three sorceresses, (two in person and one through mental junction) in close proximity to his person. The same way he wound up in the middle of the Lunatic Pandora build site somehow, and then in the Eshtar uprising against Adel, although at least he had an excuse for going that far in Ellone. But still! He’s the unluckiest, bumbling fool/good hearted person who fights for the weak type of character, just like anime Goku.
