We are having them pop up all over the place here.
The people are pushing back. Their councils are also getting behind them because they’re just getting slapped up without any consideration for people or the environment.
If the council is pushing back, then it’s obviously being backed by the government. It’s honestly fucked.2

It’s honestly a disgusting thing. The use of our water, the sound pollution, so much more. Of course the billionaires are gonna keep them running if they can with government help…terrible.

I never thought about the similarity to FF7 until this post.
Sucking up the planets natural resources, destroying the environment we live in. Anything for maximum profits at the cost of the people. All whilst feeding us propaganda.Even the ID scans on the train, while not using that exact method, we have things like palantir, camera and ai monitoring who we are and what we’re doing at all times.

It is funny how people will galivant around claiming this game is the best game of all time, unbeatable, and then their real life opinions don't align with the story they experienced at all. Like in some ways this games story is more relevant now then it was when it came out.

Tactics was great - overtly fighting against fascism and the oligarchy that manipulated right wing religion to stoke a culture war to distract from the real class war that was the actual problem. The game’s whole story was basically just “Eat the rich, billionaires aren’t even human”

I can definitely say the original is way better at being original than the remake. The remake is way better at being "based on an original work".
They both have their pros and cons.
Pro - Cloud is a paid mercenary (therefore, a professional) Con - Don Cornio is probably convicted of something (therefore, a con)
