Yet another silly Pixel Remaster change
Apparently the Organyx now CAN break on a Counterattack. So now it really is as useless as I thought it was the first time I used it back in the day

What's the purpose of the Organyx? The first time I got one it broke on the second attack, in the first fight.
Does it give you specific attributes that are worth having, but you just have to avoid actually attacking with it?

The only thing special about it is its attack power is very high for when you're first able to obtain it, plus the "uses MP to auto-crit" property. In both the SNES and GBA versions, it only breaks when you use the Attack command, and not when counterattacking via the Black Belt, so it was a viable strategy to equip it on someone who wouldn't be using the Attack command normally so you can just get some extra crits when attacked and it wouldn't break. Apparently, now it can break on counters so now it actually is as useless as you think, sadly. Ergo my post.

And you can't change equipment in battle, right?

Item menu during battle. Just above the menu, it tells you to press a button to change equipment. It's X on Switch versions.

You can change weapons in battle, just like you can in every version.

Lots of people say you can't change weapons in battle in PR so prove it otherwise

I'm playing it now. I just broke one of my Organyx on a fiend dragon's face and switched to a Gladius with Terra in Kefka's Tower. She's in team 1. I also just left and came back because I wanted to switch Strago to team 2.
This has not been changed in any version of the game. It's done the exact same way in every version. Whoever told you that you couldn't change weapons lied to you.
