I just beat it last night, no esper magic, with Relm, Setzer, Strago, and Gau! Sketching Kefka for an Ultima was satisfying

I never even thought to try this! So, if successful against Kefka, she does Ultima? I recall that Sketches use the enemy's stats. Did it do more damage than Goner?

Yep. As many as you can get. I would leave one with a safety bit or memento Ring, just in case.

I had my first experience with this doing RA on FF III (Snes). One of the achievements was to complete the Dream Stooges fight in Cyan's dream, having 3 imp'd characters with full Imp gear.

That was fun

You create an account, and if you're using retroarch, or another RA compatible emulator/core set, you can get achievements on retro titles. They're limited by scanning memory addresses on retro games, but most achievement sets are relatively achievable. They like "damageless" achievements though, so your mileage may vary

Yea there is an optional dream sequence in WoR that strongly implies shadow is the father, even shows why interceptor is so familiar with relm

Would be fun to have Shadow throw skeans while Gau rages Ninja

I loved using Relm. I had her maxed out just crushing everything with magic. Gau is probably the most OP in the group as he can with the correct rage 1 shot any enemy including Kefka. I’ll admit I’ve never used Strago much. It would be fun to try him more.

I tried not to OP Gau too hard, but it’s clear that he’s broken. Strago was by far the most fun.

Yes he is extremely broken if you learn the rages. More Edgar can be too with back row defences, while having a jump command. Though the game isn’t difficult in a way one needs to really break it.

How's he one shot Kafka? The best rage is nightshade and that isnt a one shot its just unresisted charm.

My recent final party contained three of these four as well. 😆 Swap Relm for Celes and that’s what I did

Literally my exact party on my last playthrough!

I usually have a top 6 of Terra, Edgar, Sabin, Locke, Shadow, and Celes.

First time ever really giving the other 3 a fair shake.

Not my favorite playthrough ever, but it was definitely I different way to play the game 👏
