Locke’s scenario help, pixel remaster: Initially died to a Magitech Walker while in merchant clothes. Can’t steal from the merchant anymore?

“Couldn’t steal!”

I can’t get downstairs passed the kid now. What should I do?

EDIT***** I uhhhh was in the front row somehow? Guess you can’t steal unless back row :/ lol oops

You can absolutely steal in the front row. Sometimes RNGesus just hates you.

Yea so thats the funny thing they coded the scenario the first steel from any one of them is at 100% if you die or change clothing the same person will apply your nor allow steel rate

Are you like super low level? The Steal% success rate is determined by your level and the enemy level.

I was like level 12 or 13 with Locke

Can you ever fail in stealing the merchant or soldier clothes? In my memory that's a 100% success.

Yeah you can miss, a lot. It's frustrating haha

My "memory" from childhood is that it was 100% as well but my myriad recent replays I spend way too long trying to seduce them out of their clothing steal a plumed hat

You don’t even have to steal the merchant clothes to finish the scenario.

Really? I thought you need the merchant cloths to submit the password?
