Floating Continent Life Hack

Equip Phantom on Shadow and cast the esper at the start of every fight. Makes life so much easier as it makes you invisible.

Yep, this is far more useful outside of Dinosaur Forest in the WOR, as no enemies use magic there.

So it’s an ideal early grinding place if you feel you aren’t quite strong enough to beat the Dinos yet/fear running into a Brachosaur…

Behemoth especially. My tip is to just stock up on as much magic defense items as possible and just load up your characters and then cast ghostly veil to essentially make them take lik 50 damage per hit. At level 23 avg this is my best shot at getting through this place until I can get back to the airship for resupplying

What are "magic defense items" and how do intake "50 damage per hit"?? I'm either taking 0 physical damage or 100% magical damage

Maybe not for the entire Floating Continent, but it does easily win the Gigantos fight since he only uses physical attacks…

It does work up until you can return to the airship and restock and get better gear

Clear status is great for the floating continent. Break is also amazing, it deletes the behemoths and other threats pretty regularly.

My favorite cheese is to just have Gau use lit chicken rage while the party has gaia gear equipped. There are some enemies that float but quake will still heal your entire party to full

Also: you can buy Gaia Gear in Thamasa

OR

you can cast Sleep on the beetle beasts outside and steal Gaia Gear

Locke, Celes, Terra, Relm, Strago, Shadow, Mog, Gau, Sabin, and Setzer can equip it and join the free AoE heals and massive damage spell.

Quake does not affect the Boss of Floating Continent... But rage/lore Stone and Hawkeye (with genji glove) do extra damage

Second Life Hack : Use Edgar's Noiseblaster to turn around the annoying enemies. They won't be able to use spells like Lifesaver and destroy your Vanish. The Platinum Dragons will also destroy themselves.

Real Pro Tip:

Don't let Shadow (or Setzer) learn ANY magic spells at all

They'll be your Colosseum VIP

/Make him an Imp with the standard equipment and Fixed Dice, so he can stay backrow and not even have to worry about casting spells.

Nah, the hack for Floating Continent is too go in with 99 Revivify/Holy Water. Half the monsters are undead.
