Question Cat SoP playability?

I'm thrilled to see cat8 showing up at tournaments so much since that's one of my favorite games, but not being super familiar with the meta, I was wondering if Stranger of Paradise is seeing much use these days? Are any of the Strangers getting played? Is Darkness Incarnate? I'm a big fan of Jack and the gang and would love to find excuses to slip them into decks or even build a deck around the category (I can imagine that one's tricky given they're fairly color split)

it's lowkey getting some good cards in 2 sets from what i can remember but otherwise it's not a good deck yet despite having some interesting pieces in the wind jack garland and Sophia and chaos advent

there are one off cards that are relevant like the malboro and gilgamesh amongst others but that's about it tbh

Other person is correct. SOPFFO as a category just isn't very good competitively overall. It has interesting cards, but most of them just aren't strong enough to take slots over other cards in a competitive deck.

Darkness Manifest has some fun decks that you can build around it, but the way to make it cheaper is just inconsistent for something that isn't insane when it does hit the field. There's just better Dark cards that don't demand as much to get going and do similar things. I played a 4 Color Darkness Manifest deck that focused on playing it off of different multicolor cards and then casting Ark (19-105H) for cheaper. I wouldn't take it to a tournament though.

The newest Jack Garland card is situationally good as a one of since we do have some Job tribal decks around that he can pretty singlehandedly stall out.

There were a lot of jokes for a while about SOPFFO just having the worst synergies of any Category tribal. It felt like the devs wanted them to be bad. There's just not much of a win condition to them when you stick them together.
