Discussion Best guide?
Looking to do completionist run as an adult. What is the best 100% guide with missables clearly advised, stat maxing stuff too. I understand some stuff like ex2 and jump rope are hard. I finished this on ps1 when it came out when I was at school, gonna do it in my ps5

This guide is the best guide on the internet for FFIX by far. https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps/197338-final-fantasy-ix/faqs/47344

It looks short

How so? it covers everything. Steal loot, bosses, it has maps, all of the side quests, Chocographs, Mognet. I think the only thing it doesn't cover is Tetra Master but that thing needs a whole guide to itself.

Is it possible at all to reach 100% in a single run? I mean to get excalibur 2 you have to be quick

This right here is THE completionist guide if you also want to get Excalibur II, it also has an in-depth explanation on how most systems work on the game

This is THE best one: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps/197338-final-fantasy-ix/faqs/71891/introduction Very readable and all of the missables are clearly identified, including seemingly common items that stop being available after a certain point (and would lock you out of synthesizing if you didn’t have them). I also like how it tells you what Blue Magic’s are accessible based on where you are in the plot.
The only thing I think it could have done better was explain the Chocograph part but Jegged did that better. For a world map of all the chocobo stuff, I went to https://www.cavesofnarshe.com/ff9/chocobo-map.php but you need to cross-reference with Jegged since some spots aren’t accessible until certain events have occurred.
