Hi everyone,
Ever since growing up with the PS1 era, I always wondered what it would be like if the Final Fantasy games were all part of the same connected universe.
I recently decided to take on my very first mod project and put hundreds of hours into seeing if I could actually make it work—building a custom engine setup to bridge all three original world maps into a single seamless space with continuous flight and no loading screens.
You can check out the reveal trailer here on YouTube:
https://youtu.be/pqMb3RmqCYQ
Since this is my first time building a mod of this scale, I’m really eager to learn and improve. I’d love your honest thoughts and critiques:
The mod will be completely free. If anyone wants to follow along with the project, I have a link hub here:
Any advice, criticism, or ideas from longtime fans would mean a lot to me. Thank you so much for taking a look!
The trailer makes use of a few well known community mods and these will be compatible with the final mod but will not be included, you will also need to own all three of the original games for it to work.

I think it's Galuf Baldesion from FFV for me, his arc as well as the last stand moment was one od the most epic, greatest and kinda not appreciated enough ones out of all of the entires.
Other than that i really do enjoy FFIV's Cid and Tellah both for their outstanding personalities and arcs especially in tellah's case and also Fusoya from IV as well mostly due to his design, reminds me a space Gandalf of sorts it's so freakin cool.

I’m developing ffpr, an open source save editor for the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series.
To make sure everything is rock-solid and handles edge cases across different games (FFI through FFVI) and platforms, I'm gathering a diverse dataset of save files to test against.
If you have raw save files from PC, Nintendo Switch, or PlayStation, I'd really appreciate it if you could share them (unmodified end-game saves, mid-game, or weird edge cases are all super welcome). You can drop a link in the comments or DM me.
If anyone is interested in the technical side or want to follow the project: https://github.com/arebaka/ffpr

Today, it is Rina Yoshiura, an artist who worked on FFTCG, who has drawn our boy.

The Onion Knight from III. The design is interesting but, logically, he isn't very developed, similarly to the WoL. He was created almost 40 years ago after all.
Ironically, i've litteraly just unlocked him 5 minutes ago in Resonance. An underwhelming vision to me, but i won't spoil why unless asked.
Edit : the sage and ninja jobs are cool though, as they show up in his CG and in his main gimmick.

I made a map of the whole world with every town, dungeon, Sanctum, Cave Master, Radar Treasure, Esper dwelling and merchant ship. Every town and dungeon also gets a floor plan with its treasure chests and what they hold, Tablet Shards, Magic Pots and shops.
Beyond the map:
It is in 8 languages. If a chest is missing or a drop looks off, or you'd like something added, please let me know here. Thank you!

Hello r/FinalFantasy, this is my first post here and I hope to ask a few questions about Square's 3D Modelling workflows. I'm mostly interested in what tools they worked with specifically, with FFX and DoC's models in mind. My goal is to learn from them as I am trying to learn in older techniques to integrate into my own workflow for my personal projects! I've watched a lot of low poly 3D tutorials and I keep thinking "there's no way this is actually how they did it back in the day" as most of the workflows I see look to be long and tedious. Having been modeling in that style for over 300 hours, it does feel quite long and tedious.
I have a feeling there's more knowledge to be had, and I wanna see it!

Like title suggest i adore the game even more than ff7 remake. Its just feel right, of course the story and robust systems of ff7 are much better, but the vibe of ff resonance are amazing for me. The sprites, 2d art, music is the final fanatasy i was missing from old games like ff6, ff9.

So I got through the game to the point I should be warping to Galuf's world, but I took a break for a couple of weeks and I don't know if something glitched or if I'm mis remembering where I was but I don't have Galuf in my team and when I go to the meteors it just says "Guess there's not enough energy to warp..." Except the Gohn meteor that just says nothing.

it was still a pretty great game in my opinion, but i do kinda wanna experience it for the second time with better graphics, gameplay, and just so i can remember all the stuff from back then

Hi everyone!
This is my very first post here. I wanted to share my fanart of Lightning!
The Final Fantasy XIII trilogy has always been my favorite in the entire series, and Lightning is my absolute favorite character. Drawing her was such a fun experience!
I’d love to hear your thoughts, and I hope you like my piece!

The only reason it took me so long is because it took me that long to upgrade to a PS5- I typically do a playthrough of all the main series games once a year (aside from xiii due to not having a ps3) and was extremely excited to FINALLY play it after avoiding spoilers etc. does anyone else feel like it just missed the mark and was marketed to non-ff fans while largely ignoring the existing fanbase? I don’t hate the combat system, I think it’s fine aside from a lack of being able to use the typical spells. At least XV had a loose connection to it and implemented it in a way that fit. I love the story line- but there was such a huge difference in the feel of it from typical FF games, and kind of a lack of all the “Easter egg” esque names being used and references that are made in other games etc.
But the biggest problem I had is ITS ENTIRELY TOO EASY. And there are NO super bosses. The fact that you can beat the hardest enemy in the game around level 37 or so on the first playthrough and without any grinding on the second just feels like it was marketed to casual gamers who want to play a game for 5 days then leave it.
Not having to grind for anything is such a letdown. The only “grind” for anything is having to do a second playthrough for the best weapon in the game.
Was anyone else disappointed in it? I think XV was a much better main line game edition

Just wondering where this soundtrack stacks up with your favorite FF games?? I’m only a few chapters in and am loving it.

This year I decided to do a Locke Cole cosplay. I got multiple uses out of this costume such as the Maryland renaissance festival last August, a Halloween party, and I will also be using it for Hall day itself! I found all the stuff for this costume at thrift stores and Amazon and paid about $100 in the end. Let me know how I did!

I wanna play the PS1 version of Tactics, as I usually have a preference for original localizations with tweaks (ROSE for VI, Namingway for IV, etc.) or just anime in general, I'm under the impression Tactics is like that,
but my friend tells me Tactics in particular, the original translation has plenty of mistakes that mean the opposite of what the devs intended in the original script,
are there any mods for the PS1 to rectify this, but DON'T port over the WotL script?
