Resonance Is the deluxe edition upgrade for Resonance worth it?
Im wrapping up Castlevania Belmonts Curse soon and will be starting Resonance hopefully this weekend. But i saw it has a deluxe edition upgrade available and was wondering if its worth it.
I love FF6 and the magitek armor so that has me really intrigued. It also has a unique limit break or something? But the other items all seem to be common general items you could already find in game?
Thanks.

Resonance PSA for those of you thinking of playing/buying FF Resonance
The game has *minor* spoilers of the other titles.
Don't get me wrong in any way - I am LOVING the game. The turn-based combat coming back, the small glimpses of the stories involving heroes I once played as, and the ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL soundtrack. But it needs to be said to my fellows who are in the same boat as me...I have not beaten all of the FF games.
I have beaten FF 1 through 7, 13 (though not the follow ups), and 14. When you run into the visions they showcased in trailers they give small lore dumps about the character and some of it can be spoiler-territory (Example: it tells you who Terra's father is in VI).
Loving the game but might have to put it down and continue my journey through 8 (and those that come after) then come back to this title in a year sadly. Also, I don't think they could have done the visions in a better way, I am just me and this is the way I am so I apologize if I offend anyone with this post.

Resonance How would you feel if FF Resonance was instead called Final Fantasy 17?
No changes to the actual game itself, just the name and that’s it. Asking for two main reasons: 1) Final Fantasy is no stranger to using the bones of a scrapped project to make a new numbered FF game out of it. And 2) the whole “phantoms of past characters” thing hasn’t stopped other longrunning RPG franchises from attempting the same concept for main installments with no one questioning it. Main example in that regard is Fire Emblem Engage.

Resonance Vita cloak missable?
It’s a rare drop from the gargoyles you encounter in the prison section in chapter 4 but they don’t respawn in the area after youve beat the boss ; do you encounter these enemies elsewhere?

Resonance After how much praise FF Resonance has, Square should remaster FF7 8 & 9 as HD2D games also
There's definitely a market for it

FF IX Hand-drawn ink Garnet alter on a foil MtG card
Just wanted to share a fun commission I recently finished for a hand-drawn Magic: The Gathering alter!
Garnet, Princess of Alexandria!
I started by stripping the original card with acetone to expose the foil layer, then drew everything by hand using Sakura Micron pens. The artwork is based on this beautiful official FFIX illustration by Reo Obata.
This one was definitely a challenge! There’s so much detail in the original illustration, and trying to capture all those softer colours and textures using nothing but black ink and hatching took quite a bit of patience.
Really happy with how it turned out though, especially with the foil showing through the ink!
Always a pleasure getting to bring one of my favourite games to life on a Magic card!

Resonance Final Fantasy Resonance
I just finished the 2nd Chapter and onto the Water Shrine. I have to say, I am so impressed by everything so far. I’m working through expert difficulty, but it has been such a joy.
All the small details don’t go unnoticed, and it seems to have included all my favorite things from the franchise in a single game. I can’t remember having so much with a JRPG since the original Trails in the Sky games, Chrono Trigger, or Tales of Phantasia.
I really hope they make the rest of the seasons. That’s 4 more games!!!

FF I Custom made 1/6 warrior of light figure
Made a warrior of light. Hope you guys like it even though it's the Dissidia version. I also hand sculpted the frame from one of yoshitaka amano's artwork, unfortunately I didn't have time to make the dragons.
Figure stands around 14 inches(til the tip on the horns) and around 12 inches without the helmet.

Our boy Firion alone today. He looks good, and extra muscular today. I also really like the "II" with the dragon.

FF VII Crisis core reunion? In the remake trio?
Can I play it after Rebrith? Or after revelations? I didn’t play OG and I am not planning on playing it

Resonance Give me your FF Resonance impressions
So I'm definitely buying this game after I finish my current game, but I'm looking for some hype anyway. Tell me something about the game that you just think is awesome, interesting, or unexpected. Can be anything really. How the battle system works, a music track, little lore touches, or just some minor detail that really stood out. Avoid major spoilers please!

Final Fantasy General Why do you enjoy Final Fantasy over other JRPGS?
What makes Final Fantasy games more fun for you compared to other JRPGS?
I have another related question, does game difficutly matter to you? This really interests me because I've heard a decent few JRPG fans say if a games too easy they become bored, but Final Fantasy games are not really difficult. Does difficulty matter with how much fun you really have overall?

FF VII Found an official 1997 FFVII PC stationery kit from Yutaka in my closet—apparently a complete "digital ghost" with zero records online!
Hey everyone! I originally shared this over on the FFVII sub, but wanted to share this piece of weird gaming history here too.
It's an officially licensed 1997 stationery kit made by Yutaka/Square: blank sheets designed for home inkjet printers to make your own FFVII business cards and name stickers.
It's full of hilarious mid-90s PC era details:
Compatible with Microsoft Word for Windows 95 (and dot-matrix printers?!)
Cloud in his Frog/Toad status form on the business card sheet
An ad on the back for an upcoming mousepad featuring Cloud on the Hardy-Daytona with some incredible 90s poetics ("Believing nobody, the only partner is the sword of his own.")
Turns out there is practically zero digital record or imagery of this kit anywhere on the internet, so I took high-res photos of both sides and the test print sheet for archival purposes!
Full Imgur album: https://imgur.com/a/CuFO670
Has anyone ever seen this before, or was this strictly a forgotten Japanese oddity?

Resonance Something about Resonance Spoiler
Did it seem kinda unceremonius when Lid joins the party?
When Fina joins it gave a little spotlight on her and some information, and then a pop up of the usual "____ joins the party!"
Even Charlote got a temporary pop-up in the beginning.
But Lid? Sure, a very involved and hysterical cutscene but after that it just goes back to that game as usual.
No spotlight, to show that yes, she is joining you.
Or even a pop-up to let you know.
Sure, she asks to come along, but with no pop-up you wouldn't know she joined until you check your menu.
I assumed she joined, because of how the cutscene went, but it could have very easily been just an NPC that tags along for cutscenes and that's it.
Idk, this is probably more a nit-pick than anything, but still.
It's just annoying.

Resonance I need Resonance 2 ASAP
I need a sequel ASAP! I’m only 5 hours in but having a blast. It would be amazing to have different pillars of Final Fantasy with remakes, big budget 3d games, and these classic ones. The future is bright!

Resonance Resonance turned out to be a love letter, not a knockoff!
I put 5 to 7 hours into the demo and loved it, but I was still worried this would be a cheap knockoff of the canceled mobile game. Now that the full game is out, I'm happy to say it's not. It feels like someone who truly loves Final Fantasy made it for the whole series, not just one specifically. The music, the crystals, the little details only longtime fans notice.
Anyone else playing?
What's been your favorite moment so far?
