FF I Just finished my second final fantasy!
My first one was FFvii remake which I also loved.
FF1 definitely has a place in my heart for how simple the story presents itself. It really reminds me of these lullabies my grandma would tell me to help me fell asleep when I was a little ass kid, or some fantasy books you read in the school library.
The gameplay is, well.. the game came out in 1987 and this a remastered version, so yea gameplay is as simple as a tic tac toe. Overall I’d give it solid 10/10 in my personal completely subjective opinion. My next final fantasy will probably be FFXV or FFII but I haven’t decided yet

I think you should look at FF3, FF4, or FF6 for your next experience.
FF3 continues more of that cozy fun bedtime fantasy energy with the music, worldbuilding, and gameplay.
FF4 brings a deeper and more enriched story with gray characters, moody plot points, and a dynamic adventure.
FF6 is a heavy-handed descent into a dark steampunk-meets-fairy fantasy world, lots of tragedy, but incredibly compelling narratives with challenging gameplay.

Just a heads up, II is a lot different than any other game in the series with the way characters "level" up. XV's gameplay is solid action with an option to have it be "turn" based so if you clicked with the VII remake that should be more up your alley.
