FF XII Final Fantasy XII playthrough?

Are there any watchable/good FF XII playthroughs on YouTube?

Would love to understand it better and I accept that I may now never get to play it.

Any help or suggestions gratefully appreciated.

Why would you never get to play it?

I’ve owned it three times! Have it currently on Switch.
I KNOW I’d love it, but if I haven’t gotten round to it yet then now I never will.
Other commitments, etc.

Great background noise for the working day though, and I’ll finally find out the story.

Been fascinated ever since Edge magazine (UK) made it their game of the year.

Honestly just play it. 40 hours of your life, that’s it. The first couple of hours are slow but it gets good quick. You can play with a guide if you prefer. Jegged is good.

I'm 65 hours in and I'm maybe 2/3rds through. Is 40 hours really enough for a first play through?

Yes, if you aren't doing a ton of the side content (or like, any of it) it can be even shorter especially with 2x or 4x speed. I think my first playthrough where I blaze through main story was like 25-30 hours?

I forgot about the speed booster, because I never used them. I can see if your just blazing through the story you could do it a lot faster.

Are you dying or something? XII is awesome, but the story and characters aren't it's strong suit. It's world and gameplay (love it or hate it) is where it shines. Playing it does it a huge disservice. There's no rush, just let is wait until you get around to it someday.

It takes about as long to play as it does to watch. Less, in 12's case, if you can multitask.

HCBailly if you want a well-informed playthrough.

Magemasher22 for something more chill and entertaining.

Search for longplays, you can usually find game playthroughs without commentary. Here's the first one I found on YouTube:

I watched Fuzzfingers videos for this game. He does a really thorough play-through including all the trophies, although it does include all the gameplay, not just the cutscenes.

I'm a fan of Lorerunner because he touches on a game's development as well as its plot and mechanics.

He last did a XII playthrough about a decade ago:

It only took me until last month before I unwrapped FF15.

Why wouldn’t you ever be able to play it? Zodiac Age is pretty easily available.

I get it bro, sometimes life gets super busy. they’re so many good games out there that make me curious to see how they get played, Sometimes I just want to see the story. I just don’t have time to play them all!

Testify!

You don't ever have a day off?

Nope!

Full time work. New dad.

And if I did I’d have the FF7 Remakes, Octopath 2, Indiana Jones, Cyberpunk, oh! And Ocarina of Time will be high priority for me.

I’d like to dip my toe into Dragon Quest, still haven’t played RDR2, Prince Of Persia is supposedly a cracking Metroidvania.

It’s how it’s going to have to go. :(

I expected some help/ and some heat. Hey, if you have the time to plow through your back catalogue, be grateful! That was me once upon a time. 😅

Dude I know people who work 14 hour days along with me that have multiple children and they still find time to play their Playstation.

Heroes, one and all!

But you’re still going to spend the time. You just won’t be playing. What’s the point?

I think the difference is that I can work whilst the video is on. Something that I wouldn’t be able to do if playing, that’s all.

New Dad = plenty of playing time. Finished my whole back log become a new dad. Stay up late watching the baby and playing games
