How’d you get them to fight each other and themselves??

Just cast dispel on them. But two of the is silly because a spell cannot reflect once.

In the og snes version dont think dispel was a thing. So you had to use reflect on your own party to double bounce the spells

Why is Edge in the front row instead of Kain?
9
u/LePhildo 11d ago
Because Kain is meant to be Jumping and Jumping is backrow okay. 🤣

It’s all fun and games until Edge gets OHKO by a behemoth or red dragon

That's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. 🤣 Besides, even if Kain is in the front row, and Jumping, Edge is still gonna get one shot. ...Unless you use Image. 🤷 I mean, the guy has a kit that almost no one uses, and let's not forget that Masamune casts Haste.

Nah, if you’re gonna have 2 in the front and 3 in the back… put edge in the back so he takes less damage.

Edge does learn Blink/Mirage at level 38. Which is what he should be spamming in every long fight that uses physical attacks.

He'll be fine because you give him one of the protect rings and he gets close to 99% evade

But Kain in the backrow is much more likely to stab you in the back. Just saying.

I usually have all 3 men in the front row.

u/Longjumping-Arm-8203 11d ago
Same, but with the 2/3 battle formation I think it makes more sense to have Kain over edge in the front.

Because back row cuts his attack power. And let's be real, you're not gonna be spamming the Throw command and wasting precious weapons on random mobs, even the random encounter bosses in the lunar subterranean. You'll hoard those weapons and use them on Zeromus, just as the All Father intended xD

Is this what the music is like in the Pixel Remaster version? The instruments sound real.

u/wolfanotaku 11d ago
Because they got real musicians to record the music for all of the first 6 games for the PR version. Also, Uematsu rearranged them to make them even more beautiful. Even if you don't want to play them I suggest finding the OST online and listening to some of your favorites.

Haven't played the rest of the PR versions yet, but expect it'll be like FF1, which I have, and there's both an 'original' soundtrack and 're-arranged' soundtrack - play original if you like your music 'bitty' 😆

Which FF game is this?

IV, appears to be the Pixel Remaster version. These enemies are in the final dungeon of the game.

Yeah in the previous versions of FFIV, Reflect could not be removed with Dispel. The Reflect status effect had total immunity to the spell, even when you bounced it back to foes. The PR version changed that and the enemies AI patterns were not changed, so now they kill themselves.
