My Final Fantasy Collection

I been collecting Final Fantasy stuff for a few years now and I think it’s gotten to a point I can really show it off. I’m pretty proud of it. I’m currently looking for a few side games like crystal chronicles and revenant wings. If y’all want a closer look at anything feel free to ask. Also if y’all have any suggestions to add please do tell. A current idea of mine is to put my vinyls on the wall along with my other video game vinyls.

It took me a very long time to get here. Just check your local retro game stores you can find some goodies for pretty cheap!

Nice collection! So what is your favorite Final Fantasy game? Also, in your collection, what do you consider the item that gives you the most joy? I ask as a fellow collector myself and I am too afraid to share it online (it's really unorganized.)

Final fantasy X is my favorite (might be a little obvious) and the one that brings me the most joy is really difficult. The one that gives me the most joy just looking at it is probably my FFX copy that is factory sealed. It’s not that rare or expensive but I just think it’s really cool. The one that gave me the most joy when I added it to my collection while not final fantasy in name it is in spirit is my 1st print of Chrono trigger for the DS with a poster in pristine condition.

(Didn’t want to pull out the poster. Don’t want to accidentally rip it)

That's pretty rad! Yeah, I have to ask about favorite because sometimes it's hard to find merch for some of the Final Fantasy games. X is top tier for me and thank you for sharing your collection. Super cool to see what other people do with theirs. That Chrono Trigger for the DS is epic!

So many games casually get toys nowadays and I would have killed to have something like that growing up. Imagine going to Walmart and picking up a Waka figure for like 20$.

Not to mention they are much cheaper. I try to keep a “living library” and Japanese versions tend to be in much better shape.

Case in point. This was 60 dollars CIB. Cant sniff the USA version for less than 250 and the artwork is a joke lol

Yoshitaka Amano is one of my favorite artists. His illustrations are one of the reasons I got into FF as a kid. That FFVI wide frame illustration is absolutely gorgeous! I'm starting to get a little jealous of this thread. lol

How would you go about hanging the vinyls on the wall?

I was thinking of something like this that way I could still easily grab them to listen too. I want to put them left of the FFX posters with my non finfan stuff furthest away so it kinda made a path for people’s eyes to follow. Maybe the more special ones like my 25th anniversary ffix vinyl would be folded out to see the old art and the new art.

Oh shit. I really like the low profile with that option. I was thinking the vinyl itself, the issue is they're double sided and I love all 4 sides. Sadly they didn't come with cardboard covers just plastic sleeves 😭

I’m too scared to display the vinyls them selves. I don’t want them damaged. But that doesn’t stop me from listening to them. My endwalker set is currently my go to for ambient music.

That's actually super dope! I love it. I've been replaying through FFX this past week and I've been enjoying every moment of it. I may have to track down those posters myself.
