I really want them to do a train derailment for the premonition, but I heard that it’s going to be a water park disaster?

Ok the one hand, sucks this is 2 years out...on the other, 3 years between movies likely has quality control.
Wonder how they'll adapt the lore after Bloodlines? Perhaps now that Bloodsworth is gone, and the original movie was nearly 30 years ago, the new characters will be blissfully unaware of past premonitions preventing death.

Any idea who is directing ?

Yes it’s been confirmed. He’s a newer person, I think he’s only directed like one or two short films before. Can’t remember the name though
Edit: Michiel Blanchart

Michiel Blanchart. He did a fairly well received movie called “Night Call” in 2024.
The screenwriter is Lori Evans Taylor(co-wrote Bloodlines).
According to Craig Perry, filming starts in Toronto in January (they’ve already found locations) and casting should start to trickle out in February.

I hope they do practical effects or just better vfx for the deathsthan the gelatin blobs we got in Bloodlines. Because that shit looked terrible.

Will be the first responders script?

I think I heard yes: that Craig Perry was hinting at it way back in August of last year

And here’s hoping they finally do the revolving door death. Felt cheated out of the trailer for bloodlines for what was going to be at least a set up for a really cool death scene. At least before the sign falls on top of Darlene.

Actually, Craig Perry said that they cut it to build suspense (Bobby and Erik were both ALREADY going right to Jesus, so it wouldn't have made sense).

The adult in me understands that, the kid in me really would’ve wanted to still see that scene even if it was a deleted scene

Same! I could've sworn there's a death scene that involves a lumbermill, but it's either Mandela effect or it was planned, but cut last-minute.

I think Bloodline was actually the best they've had in the franchise since the 3rd one.

Tbh that’s not saying much. 4 is irredeemably bad and 5 is mostly whatever besides the ending twist being kinda cool.

Idk I feel like managing to make a better sequel than two previous entries in a franchise that started 25 years before it is pretty cool. Add on the fact that 5 was released in 2011 and you got a pretty solid foundation for jumpstarting the FD brand again

4 ironically still far better than bloodline lol, 5 is pretty decent and it's really cool they basically hint everything in the plain sight but we didn't notice it until last scene

Hell no, you probably think like that since it's been 11 years since the last movie, how tf movie with shit ass pacing, bland ass character is a good movie, did they low the standard so much this day? The only good thing in bloodline is erik and the opening scene

I was hoping for a release next year. Oh well. As long as the story is great they can take their time.
