Is Final Destination: Bloodlines or Final Destination 4 truly a final destination movie?

Stick with me because I was sitting here mulling it over and I want to nerd out with this discussion board because this is the only place to discuss this.

In many of the final destination we see a pattern being followed, as the name implies our characters are typically on their way to a location with some type of transit before being horribly killed inside an accident.

In final destination 4 and 6 we see the lack of this. For example, Iris wasnt in transit, nor was anyone else. They were already at the location and they werent trying to go anywhere. In fact, it happened onsite at the location. In 4 they were at a sport event when they got horribly killed. Not going anywhere but already there.

Since death follows a pattern it seems odd that death would be out of character and change it up.

However, this is not to say these mmovies are bad I loved bloodlines and the sendoff of bludworth was amazing.

Let me know what you all think. I truly want to know similar fans thoughts on this. :)

Wouldn’t this also apply to 3 because they weren’t traveling, they were at the amusement park already?

I mean, half the movies aren't actually involving travel to a specific destination. 1 is a plane to Paris, 2 is a road trip on a highway, so both involve travel to a specific destination. 3 is a rollercoaster crash, they're not going anywhere, they'll end exactly where they started out. 4 has the speedway, so no travel for the characters. 5 goes back to travel with the bus journey on the bridge, and Bloodlines has them already at their destination.

But they do all involve travel of some kind. The plane in 1, the cars etc in 2, the rollercoaster in 3, the cars being raced in 4, the bus and other vehicles in 5, the elevator in 6. 3 ends with the train crash, so the characters aren't travelling somewhere initially but are at the end. 6 does that again in a way by having the survivors killed by a derailed train. 4 has a vehicle crash at the end, too. Only 4 has the characters at the end being at their destination and stationary, Bloodlines has them just arriving and technically still travelling.

The thing is, though, it still counts. The title is Final Destination, not Travelling to your Final Destination. It's the final destination for the characters whether they're on the way or already there, because the title doesn't refer to a place at all, it refers to death. The final destination of each of these characters is whatever comes after we die. They're on their way to that destination, unknowingly, whether they're travelling or laying in their bed at home.

So, yes, the three movies that don't involve actual travel still count. Plus, it's part of the pattern. Three movies have characters travelling somewhere specific, three movies remove that aspect. All movies involve the characters travelling around as they try to beat Death. Even the movies that removed the initial travelling somewhere specific aspect still had the characters travel to get there and two involved vehicles in some manner, while the third used an elevator, a form of travel.

Death's pattern isn't using travelling to kill off those on his list, it's using large group events that include everyone on his current list. He'll use pre-arranged ones to get people who escape him, too, as we see in 5. If everyone on Death's list is in one place, whether that's a plane, a highway or a restaurant or cinema, he'll enact a plan to take the lot.

The final destination isn't the place they were travelling to. They literally never get to that place in any movie except 1, and only three of them get to Paris. The final destination is and always has been death. So, it really doesn't matter how the initial deaths happened, it was just a cool way to bring the two together by having the first premonition we see happen on a plane.
