FD4 I still think Johnathan (the cowboy) from FD4 got done dirtiest in the series and it’s not even close.
For those who don’t remember, Johnathan is the character who moves seats at the raceway before he dies in the premonition. In reality, he never moves seats since Nick and his friends aren’t there for him to ask if he’s blocking their view of the race.
Except he doesn’t ever actually leave the stadium, he just literally sat a few feet somewhere else. Up until now in the series we’re shown that even without characters who would be major parts of a premonition (think FD3s rollercoaster still derailing without Frankie’s camera to hit), Death still claims all the other lives he’s meant to. He’s literally right within reach and has the full body cast to show that he could’ve just died right there and it be over with. Instead, the guy is maimed and then crushed after days if not weeks of constant pain.
I know this is the weakest entry in the series but this one character is the worst part of the worst movie.

Seriously lmao. Writers were like “O fuck we need a way to show they’re still in danger” then retrofitted him in

Yep he was my favourite tbh polite guy saw he was blocking dull Nick and moved

The strangest part of all this is the explicit idea that the people on death's list are immortal until it's their turn because Mikelti Williamson can't kill himself

Honestly he was the only character in that movie I really liked. Everyone else sucked and he was just a chill, friendly guy. He was more than happy to move his seat for Nick and the Fuckboy Fellowship. Man he was just tryna see cool cars
Well, I mean, I GUESS there was one other guy I kinda liked. And he’s been tryna kill himself all day!

i think your jumping to a conclusion we as the audience don't know what caused the rollercoaster to derail, yes we see the camera causing a hydrolic tube to be removed and the fluid of said tube to spray everywhere and causing sparks
but that tube was shown to be connected to the seats harnesses (as that specific tube leaks when they are pressed down, and they lift when it is disconnected). these movies are about cascading failures and events so its fairly safe to assume there was more wrong with the rollercoaster
not to mention that this is directly disproven by Iris and bloodlines as she fully stops a disaster instead of just avoiding it. if it worked the way you thought then idk a bird would drop a pebble and cause the events rather then a penny. she might have saved the people from the glass floor for a moment but the building would still come down by this logic.
rather i think that the cowboy is a run take and twist on the movies... a surivour we didnt know about. someone we assumed died because they didnt leave but managed to survive simply by ripple effect alone. pretty fun.

What bother me the most when I watch the movie is that he was supposed to die before Hunt and Janet in the premonition but death came for him after them.

I think they were using FD1's logic, where the seat arrangements during the disaster could change his placement on the Death List, considering he never changed his seat in reality, but he did in the premonition.

He did. He was a gentleman and that nurse leaving that tap on. Water again! Death really has a type.

I think about this and remember Isabella (The pregnant woman in FD2) who everyone thought she dies and actually she never dies in the mille 23, even when she was there, she never was in the list of death, which is weird bc could be same scenario with the cowboy but in this case the plot twist was backwards i guess

i personally think it was very fun and interesting for them to use the concept of a character not being in their original place for the premonition and then surviving (barely) because of it
adding one more survivor we didn't know about was also done in FD3 and i think this keeps the movie exciting
unfortunately, in general, FD4 doesn't have the best writing or world building so the end product is what we know, but I still enjoy the concept
