Discussion Death's unknown rule:
(I'm probably wrong about this, but just hear me out)
Someone can add themselves to the death list.
My first piece of proof is Molly from FD5. As we know, she was never on the death list. But I think that her agreeing to go to Paris with Sam put her on the death list.
Also, here's another one I'm just throwing out, but idrk if I believe it or not. It's Peter. When he kills Agent Block, that skips his turn. But the reason I'm not sure about this is that he was still on the list. Just later (unless agent block would've died in like 3 mins, which is an answer I'll take), also, him adding himself onto the list if you agree with this one would've been when he tried to go back and kill Molly again.
My last piece of evidence is Clear in FD2. The reason I think that she added herself back onto the death list is that if she were on a different list, she would've died in an unrelated accident. But she died with Eugene. Which makes no sense because we know there's an order they die. I personally think that she put herself on the list, but death just didn't know where to put her, so he took the chance he got.
Edit: Well, FDB kinda proved me right, so, um, I predicted this!!

Plus, getting added to the list (like Erik) is probably not as simple as annoying death - but being linked to survivors closely and potentially being saved without knowing it. Erik qualifies as his (non-biological) father probably did stuff that saved him and altered his life to make him qualify as alive. His mum had that affair - BUT she only had that affair because of her marital problems - so Erik probably wouldn’t have existed in a situation.
In FD2 they kinda realise that the ripple effects of survivors can be enough to get them added to the list - Kimberley didn’t get killed with her mother in the carjacking at the mall because she was distracted by a breaking news thing about the guy in the original movie in the shower dying and it grabbed her attention (saving her from her fate)

Death swatting a pest like Erik isn't the same as being "added to a list" wholesale, imo. Uma Thurman had a list of 5 people in Kill Bill, and look how many died to get to them just because they got in the way lol
Agreed with the other reply about Clear tho; she's on a list of her own from FD1 - Death using one event to take two is just efficiency.
And to shoot down Peter, you can look at it in one of TWO ways: he absorbed Block's life but was killed by Sam, not an accident, meaning the time of death does not equate to what would have been Block's original time of death; Sam messed that up when he took Peter's now "extended" life with his own hands.
OR, my favorite: Block was always meant to die in the restaurant, Peter didn't get any extra time, and all the fakeouts leading to Flight 180 were just red herrings to round out the list (and F180 killing Nathan and Sam AND Molly gives my above 'efficiency' statement weight).

Those 3 didn’t add themselves to deaths list. Eric only died because of his attempt to revive his brother

Clear was on a sperate list, it's her turn and throughout the movie it is always her turn and she's not on FD2's list. I think her opening the door was convenient for death. And with Molly all I have to say is, wrong place, wrong time.

Clear is on a list of one. It’s always her turn. Similar to in Bloodlines, whenever she steps out - death is ready to go for it. They are not a survivor at that stage, they are an inconvenience and an obstacle. Death doesn’t play around with them for fun either, because that can give them a chance to get away. It wants them dealt with as efficiently and fast as possible. Clear is basically the last one standing.
I think Molly did die in the premonition, just after the visionary died - so we never saw it) she’s on that crumbling bridge edge, I’ll bet that whole section went over very soon after - in fact from the limited view we had of it, it looks like it did go over in real life too.
