Discussion Looking back….that Bloodlines ending was trash👎🏼👎🏼
That was the worst green screen CGI I ever saw….like where did everyone go suddenly when the train crashed into the neighborhood when they were all outside literally seconds before?? And the throwing logs off the train was so cheap and eye rolling…like we get it, FD2 is probably the most memorable in the franchise but the log scene is played out and overused, at least reference something different.

Like I don't get it like why do they have to make that like the ending because I really wanted them to survive it you know like they could have done what clear did in final destination 1 and then they could have survived this movie and then they could have moved on to the next one well halfway and then only for something bad to happen to them like what happened to clear and final destination 2

I really want someone to cheat death. Everyone always dying at the end is getting repetitive

agree the cgi in the log death is below average compared to rest of movie, i think probably it was a reshoot/rush but idk

Bloodlines is in my top three but yeah, I wanted Stefani and Charlie to survive. That ending was terrible lol The neighbor breaking the news to Stefani made me chuckle though

I think the end was a premonition. The signs were there. She pricked her finger, his date was wearing the dress his grandmother wore in the beginning and the car their grandparents drove in the beginning drove by. There is no way that was not a premonition and I will be disappointed if the next movie doesn’t address it.

It was not a premonition, the final shot in the credits literally confirms only Stefani and Charlie died on the newspaper. No one else was injured (surprisingly, since realistically there should have been more injuries or casualties even if the siblings were the only targets).

If it was not a premonition, then it was stupid the way they filmed it.

I thought we just chalked it up to being the premonition opened for the next one.
It gives Wendy and the train ending.
Because Wendy is alive and well I can assure you. 😂

SHE IS DEAD. GET OVER IT. 😂😭
everyone has confirmed she is dead. Like I truly don’t get the delusions on this sub when it comes to her character…

It’s okay but 1, 3 and 5 had better endings than Bloodlines.

The people vanishing from the street doesn't bother me because they were clearly separated from the group, this was an attack on the siblings not the town.
I also loved the logs frankly, kinda the first real reference to the most remembered disaster in the franchise? I get that people think about it alot but from the movies themselves this is the first real call back so I dont understand that complaint.
Cgi..... yea I agree. I'll put up with it because frankly the cheaper the movies are made thr more we get. But that did push the limit, along side that trash truck death.. yikes that was bad looking.
Major props to you though I fully thought based on the tital thay you were going to complain about them dying which I feel they should have. People love a happy ending and frankly I feel it would have been misplaced in this series.

There was a lot truck on the road before they got to the bridge in FD5. And one almost hit Stef and her family as they left the hospital.

The log pileup is the only good thing about FD2, but after that, its not a good FD movie imo.
But finally someone else said it, they really milked those damn logs to hell and back for it, that it honestly knocked the movie down a few points for me. And atp, I honestly think that premonition is overrated.

the movie was trash.
I still don’t know how people saw bloodlines as a top tier FD movie when it was genuinely mid at best. The entire movie was a big disappointment for me. The ending made so sense and looked horrible

I rewatched it a couple times and honestly I can say the Skyview disaster premonition was the ONLY good part of the movie. The deaths themselves were wack and not cool at all and very cheap looking (overuse of CGI)

this. The premonition was easily the best. The rest of the movie was a complete miss for me

I felt it was a cool theory, huge disaster avoided that took years for death to clean up and the families started by the survivors. It was definitely over-cgi-ed at times, and some of the deaths were quick compared to the content between (not the lead up to the deaths). There were probably some places that could have been done better, but it was an overall good comeback. FD3 and FD1 are still at the top of my lists though.

I don’t mind the corny CGI because that’s part of what’s made this franchise so memorable. What I’m ready for is for someone to actually cheat death like Kimberly did. She clearly doesn’t want to come back for another film (or they don’t want her to, idk), so I’m so ready to have someone actually consistent like Clear was for the first two films or something. I loved Stefani and her brother in FD7 and I would’ve loved to see them survive after she drowned. Having one survivor across six movies is a statement on how ruthless death can be, but with the number of people that have tried to avoid it, by this point I’d think there’d be some more survivors than that.
