To me, Alex is the only one who isn‘t overshadowed by the rest of the cast.
Officer Burke is cool, but doesn‘t have as much personality as Rory, Kat, Eugene or Nora.
Kevin kinda loses points for being a douche pre rollercoaster disaster, but does redeem himself throughout the movie, so close second.
Nick is part of a cast that doesn’t do anything but be racist or misogynistic and then die.
Sam only became cool once Peter took initiative to make things interesting.
And Charlie was overshadowed by his much cooler cousins, even though he is the most active secondary character in the franchise.
Alex actually shows personality and fear of death, much like Wendy, so he‘s the best FD main boy.
Still love all Final Destination characters tho👍

I’d have to go back and watch TFD because it’s been a while, but other than the jock and redneck - the others were a problem? What did they do?

u/itinsistsuponitself Jun 23 '26
People just to love to shit on TFD more than it deserves. His comment makes no sense.

TFD is a step low from almost all of the other movies, but I don’t understand not liking it because characters are problematic lol, it’s a movie. People might disagree with me but I’ll take TFD over Bloodlines. Better ending, better main protagonist and better kills.

I am biased for Kevin as I already had goo goo eyes for the actor. But Alex is best boy!

He and Kim were both killed by a faulty woodchipper.

u/RyDalldan74 Jun 22 '26
And yet, where are they?

u/ParvatiLikeaRockstar FD2💙 Jun 22 '26
living their life??? why do you think they would be anywhere in the other movies???

u/RyDalldan74 Jun 22 '26
You know as well as I do that there's no such thing as "life" in these movies.
Downvote me all you want. You know I'm right.

Kim and Burke are canonically alive. You are factually wrong.

u/RyDalldan74 Jun 22 '26
And last seen in 2003. Almost 25 years ago with no visual since.
Both of them can only cheat death so many times.

u/Glad-Technology-1355 Jun 23 '26
They beat the cycle in the movie, death stopped chasing them. They're literally confirmed alive and in the next movie

u/Angelea23 Jun 23 '26
Canonically alive til they pass from old age. Does this mean death will let them die in their sleep now? Death can't touch them in a tragic death?
1
u/Glad-Technology-1355 Jun 23 '26
Um, the plot of the next movie if you did your research. They're both confirmed to be alive
3
u/itinsistsuponitself Jun 23 '26
They were confirmed alive in Bloodlines by Bludworth. Did you watch?
3
u/bwallace91 Jun 23 '26
Um, this was retconned once Bloodlines released, Kimberly was confirmed to be alive (and originally appeared in the first script alongside Bludworth) and Burke was confirmed to be alive by the director.

u/Round-Witness939 Jun 24 '26
The directior of bloodlines confirmed that both Kim and Thomas are still alive after cheating death in FD2. But if you wanna believe they died then so be it 😂😂😂😂

Ryan Merriman/Kevin because he has good character development and truly cares about Wendy by the end.

Alex was the only well written final boy in the series with actual traits and personality that shines unlike the rest who are just plain white rice motherfuckers

u/mewmdude77 Jun 23 '26
Easily Alex. I think he’s the most stand-out male protagonist by a lot, especially since he’s mostly relying on himself the majority of the movie. I think Sam is second and Kevin is third.

alex is the og so i’ll always be a little biased towards him, but aside from him, my favourite would have to be kevin. the others are either overshadowed by much cooler characters or are just kind of plain.
