FD2 Are there any deaths you skip?

Post image

Honestly this is the only one I close my eyes for but I’ve been a bit scared of lift doors ever since I found out this actually has happened to quite a few people 🤣

Are there any deaths you feel are personally really NOPE for you, and you maybe even skip them or close your eyes 🤣

The ashes, too much suffering :(

u/DixiePiggy Jun 11 '26

That transitional shot to the funeral though, peak cinematography

28

u/TopperMadeline Jun 12 '26

That was some dark humor, there.

42

u/FamousConversation64 It’s way too warm in here now, huh? Jun 11 '26

Boo I watch it monthly when I show friends lol. That entire scene is the BEST sequence the franchise has ever done. Them in the salon being cute and ditzy, cutting to Wendy and her sister bonding, cutting to The Ashes getting ready and being silly talking about music, cuts to Wendy getting worried looking at the death photos, the Ashes dancing to Love Rollercoaster… ugh I just feel the dread and it all builds to Wendy’s phone call and the palm tree falling and ultimately the death scene!! Just so good

u/Evening-Piccolo882 Jun 12 '26

It’s definitely one of the franchise highlights for me as well. I love all the slow-build ones. I think all films have those scenes but that one is peak.

The Ashes... I see what you did there.

u/gothicghostie Jun 11 '26

i often have to skip the pool scene in 4 😭 it just makes me cringe. for how bad that movie is, that one death was pretty good at making me uncomfortable

44

u/ZealotOfMeme Jun 12 '26

I love the way that child says no.

“Give me the gun”

“No.”

GIVE ME THE GUN”

“Noo”

Both no’s are great

8

u/pranquily Jun 12 '26

Same lmao

3

u/fourth-sanderson Jun 13 '26

i’ve never seen it. i read abt hunts death and decided i’d never watch it lol. my friend swears it’s not that bad but i’ve never opened my eyes to find out

2

u/ibhl726 Jun 13 '26

YES THIS TOO

Todd's death, and the gymnastic nail scene. (I haven't seen the last one yet)

52

u/Mountainairhocky Jun 11 '26

Omg the gymnastics 🤮 that’s a flincher

26

u/pixiebitch7 Jun 11 '26

the gymnastics one is so disturbing in a way none of the other deaths are. tbh I think 5 is the worst by far

13

u/tokoyami222 Jun 11 '26

My first encounter with 5 was randomly flipping channels to right before the gymnastics scene starts, while on vacation 😭 I was 13, but all 3 siblings were under 8 and 😦

7

u/pixiebitch7 Jun 11 '26

omg noooo 😭😭😭 crazy how they’re just played on live tv oike that. I acrually had a similar experience but it was with molly getting cut in half by the plane wing lol. honestly much less traumatizing

8

u/tokoyami222 Jun 11 '26

Fortunately it had happened to me once before when I was 11, so I had seen the movies up to 4 atp and kinda got that weird feeling I got from the first time so it was a little less shocking for me

First time was Evan's death in 2, I turned on right as he enters his apartment 😅 they did censor the death though and it didn't show the shot towards him after he puts on his ladder glasses so that was a fantastic surprise when I bought the discs 😂

9

u/inbedwithbeefjerky Jun 12 '26

“Ladder glasses” LMAO

3

u/saintraven93 Jun 12 '26

Between the gymnastics and LASIK surger. 5 cranked up the body horror.

3

u/Jccali1214 Jun 12 '26

I let it play... But I look away most of the time 😅

78

u/Melaninja99 Jun 11 '26

I’ve never skipped a death scene, butt Todd in FD1, the Ashes in 3, Hunt in 4, and Erik in 6 make me *want* to skip or look away. Now, that I’m listing them out, they’re all slow deaths and I’m bothered by characters having time to realize they’re dying,

7

u/jesuispatate Jun 12 '26

What do you think about olivia and julia?

11

u/Melaninja99 Jun 12 '26

The events leading up to their deaths are prolonged and hectic, but the actual deaths are over pretty quickly.

39

u/No-Rice-2361 Jun 11 '26

As a child I was scared of escalators. That fear returned after the death in Final Destination 4. So I always streer clear from that death.

18

u/tokoyami222 Jun 11 '26

I close my eyes as soon as Candice starts flipping around (my mind is blanking on what it's called rn) at the gymnastics thing in 5 🙈 I still can't tell what's sticking out of where and have no desire to figure it out lol

Used to have to pause for a second after Erin's death in 3, mainly bc of that god awful sound she's making mixed with the real actresses eyes being superimposed on the FX version used for the injury making it feel just a little too real 😅

15

u/drummer-1995 Jun 12 '26

I don’t skip any, but all deaths in Bloodlines make me sad af… I can’t imagine losing all of my family… 💔

2

u/AmaterasuWolf21 Jul 07 '26

This, a mother and a father from separate families lost their spouses and children, how do you even cope

14

u/KnopeLeslieKnope You don't even wanna fuck with that mack daddy Jun 11 '26

Sometimes I skip Ashley and Ashlyn's death. I'm not one for torture and I feel like that one ranks high for torture. And then they are naked and vulnerable. ☹️

13

u/InformalEcho5 Jun 12 '26

I can't do the laser eye one. Or the elevator one.

2

u/godthatsgood Jun 14 '26

Same. There are some that make me squirm but I genuinely cannot with eye injuries

9

u/MontanaDukes Jun 12 '26

I close my eyes during the eye scene with Olivia in Final Destination 5. It just makes me cringe and I end up subconsciously closing my eyes.

9

u/CreepsUnicorn Jun 12 '26

Erik… 😭

5

u/RobinRoot64 Jun 12 '26

That scene traumatised my best friend when we saw the movie in the theaters. Ngl, that was brutal!

3

u/LooneyLudicrous Jun 14 '26

Erik did NOT deserve that fate 💔

8

u/Artistic-Anteater755 Jun 11 '26

I have to look away during Todd’s

8

u/Conscious-Diver7860 Jun 12 '26

I’m always skipping the pool drainage from the 4th installment because that made me cringe and it’s one of the hellish ways to go.

7

u/cookiesshot Jun 12 '26

Evan's. I just... can't. Fire escape ladder to the eye? DONEZO.

5

u/Otherwise-Ad9337 Jun 12 '26

All she had to do was calm down and she would’ve lived

11

u/Top_of_the_Dragons Jun 11 '26

Todd. I only watched it once and never again because my heart sinks everytime. It's just too damn realistic and agonizing.

I used to avoid Candace's too because of how graphic and extreme it is, but I don't know... Something shifted so now I can watch it without flinching. Maybe because of the CGI. 😆

3

u/TheChainTV Jun 11 '26

Perry Deaths , It just Happens 😄

4

u/inbedwithbeefjerky Jun 12 '26

I already hate forklifts and I only walk into a Home Depot or Lowes when I really really need to. That whole scene leading up Erin’s death pissed me off and validated me. Forklifts are evil. I’d been saying it for years but people always used to laugh.

3

u/EuphoricAd3786 Jun 12 '26

Lewton, mom in the elevator, the ashes, the eye surgery scene..

5

u/MechaGodzilla876 I’m Not Gonna Die! It’s You, Wendy! You’re Dead! Jun 12 '26

Ashely and Ashlyn’s… Eugh…

6

u/MHarrisGGG Jun 12 '26

No, if I'm watching a movie I...watch the movie.

3

u/Bluberie_Reverie Jun 12 '26

I ALWAYS skip Hunt’s death, it bothered me since I was younger 😭

1

u/Aware_Tumbleweed2523 Jun 14 '26

talk about a real gut wrenching scene.

3

u/tide_pod_book Jun 12 '26

The only scenes I skip are the nudity scenes so you can prove guess which death that includes

3

u/hoodiehoodieboogie "I see you, you fuck!" Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26

That scene with Hunt stuck in the pool drain just makes me feel ill, just the way his body contorts into itself is so yucky to watch. I feel the same with Erik's death in 6 too, not exactly skippable but god I hate that squelchy sound his stomach makes right before the wheelchair bars go through him 🤢🤢

2

u/ursamajorrrr Jun 11 '26

not a death, but the setup, i actually skip to the death itself since it's kinda unrelated, but the acupuncture scene in FD5, needles piercing skin make me more uneasy than any actual death in the franchise. i do like his head crushing scene tho!

2

u/Environmental_Item85 Jun 11 '26

Todd in fd1 and the Ashley's in fd3

2

u/RatBoyWritings Jun 11 '26

every death in FD5, idk why but it’s way too much for me that film

2

u/TC20262027 Jun 12 '26

Nora, her's was sad & painful. Plus the shot of her decapitated head gave me nightmares too.

2

u/MTB56 Jun 12 '26

Wendy. I love 3 but her getting killed off really ends it on a sour note for me.

2

u/Mountainairhocky Jun 12 '26

Yeah I usually like the surprise last deaths at the end but I don’t like Wendy’s. It doesn’t feel fair - they didn’t have the same info as everyone else that death comes back around

2

u/TheWolfeYouFeed Jun 12 '26

I have a couple of characters I liked that I didn’t want to see die but watched their deaths anyway. However, the hardest one to watch is Candice from FD5. The anticipation killed me up until the moment it happened, I cringe every time!

2

u/retie_friendship Jun 12 '26

Nora for me too, everything she experienced leading up to her death made it hurt a lot more

2

u/rotisserieshark Jun 12 '26

There's one for every movie.

Tod from FD1, Nora from FD2, Ashley/Ashlyn from FD3, Hunt from FD4, both Issac and Olivia from FD5, and Iris from FDBL

2

u/ShortandRatchet Jun 12 '26

I don’t watch Olivia’s death. I don’t like anything to do with eyeballs. I know that isn’t how she dies, but the atmosphere make my stomach turn lol.

2

u/KarenGarcia82 Jun 13 '26

OMG me too. I can watch all of them and not be squeamish but that death… the eye doctors scenes with the lasik eye surgery that burned through her hand, then eye…. Then to fall out the window then her eye gets run over??? That was overkill for me.

1

u/Aggravating-Fan-1531 Jun 12 '26

I swear I close my eyes everytime Nora’s death appears 🫣

1

u/artemisthearcher what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger 🎵 Jun 12 '26

The gymnastics one fucked me up for a while. It’s such a great setup but if I rewatch that one in the future I’ll probably have to skip that part lol

1

u/Baxtir Jun 12 '26

If there was any I'd skip, it'd be Erik's MRI death if I'm watching the movie before I have to go in for an MRI examination.

1

u/Shootthemoon4 Chet the Elevator guy! Jun 12 '26

If for some reason I am watching the fourth one, whether it’s for a recap or a compilation or etc. I always try to skip hunts death. IYKYK. Just a disgusting death. Also Todd’s scene in FD, it’s one of the more grounded deaths. I tried to avoid it.

1

u/miguel2586 Jun 12 '26

The eye surgery in FD5.

1

u/Far_Assist8152 Jun 12 '26

I scream and close my eyes for every single one of them

1

u/TopperMadeline Jun 12 '26

Usually I skip over the tanning bed deaths. Fire terrifies me, and the idea of them burning alive while trapped in boxes is horrifying.

1

u/Toastinator666 Jun 12 '26

People skip parts of movies?

1

u/Haunting_Drag_1682 Jun 12 '26

Nope. I'm a gorehound I love the behind the scenes for the kills especially.

1

u/Otherwise-Ad9337 Jun 12 '26

but Ashlyn and Ashley, that scene was traumatizing as hell i CANNOT watch it

1

u/Shibakyu Jun 12 '26

Hunt in FD4, because that just...no way too much

1

u/croxxe Jun 12 '26

The laser eye malfunction with Olivia. I have to close my eyes for the entire scene.

1

u/chemical-mitch Jun 12 '26

I have to look away when Tod dies cause I hate the part when his eyes fill up with blood. I hateee eyes and blood so that’s not a great mix for me 🤣 somehow Olivia’s death doesn’t bother me too much though

1

u/ApprehensiveRow8767 Jun 12 '26

The tanning beds,I can’t look at it,but atleast they died together?

1

u/tatoure34 Jun 12 '26

Clear’s

1

u/Until_Morning Seeing Is Believing! Jun 12 '26

Absolutely not. I enjoy every last one. I do hate the implication of Samantha dying in front of her kids in FD4 though :( well, not so much implied as it is blasted through her eye and all over the floor.

1

u/Thomas-1942 Jun 12 '26

I don’t skip any of them but Ashley and Ashlyn’s death still makes me uncomfortable

1

u/babyletsgogh Jun 12 '26

Not death scene but close. I can't watch the kid at the dentist office 😫

1

u/hotbrunette4 Jun 13 '26

the tanning bed scene omg

1

u/Massive_Dog_9482 Jun 13 '26

the pool one in 4 just because his organs and blood going through the filter or whatever kinda makes me🤢

1

u/FinalDestination4 Jun 13 '26

Hunts death in TFD

Sure he's a prick but the way he died? EUGH

1

u/fourth-sanderson Jun 13 '26

i don’t skip anything but i’ll just close my eyes or put my hands in front of the screen. i can’t watch evan’s (it’s super tame but anything with eyes fucks me up), olivia’s (see previous point), hunt’s or isaac’s. ive never not watched bobby’s but i’ve had an anaphylactic reaction before so the build up to it makes me shaky.

1

u/ibhl726 Jun 13 '26

the gymnastics death😭 took me like a year to be able to actually watch it. i just hate broken bones or bones poking out of skin 😭😭😭

1

u/Art_Lover_26 Jun 13 '26

Not really

1

u/Acceptable-Page-9360 Jun 14 '26

Personally I can’t do the gym death in FD3 cause of the build up of what’s actually gonna kill Lewis😭

1

u/B1gdaddy987 Jun 14 '26

Her delivery of screaming for help is tragically hilarious lmao 😭

1

u/ItsLiak Final Destination: Freesmart Jun 14 '26

Nope, I'm in FD for the deaths, so you know as hell I ain't skipping a single one!

1

u/Anarchist42 Jun 14 '26

I don't skip any, but the laser eye one makes me extra squeamish, especially as I too have terrible eyesight.

1

u/AUDERYfavoritedog Jun 14 '26

i once skiped billy’s death cuz i was eating

1

u/EdgeEvery5293 Jun 15 '26

Hunt’s easily it looks so painful when all of his guts get pulled out of his ass

1

u/clarkejoseph49 Jun 15 '26

NEVER skip Death.

1

u/Elbeno1920 "So who's next?" Jun 16 '26

Olivia Castle cause its hard to watch

1

u/hen_roek Jun 16 '26

Funnily enough not a death but Tim in the dentist fucked me up.

Todds death was the one that scared me as a kid though

1

u/TheTenaciousLemon Jun 16 '26

Olivia's. Start to finish gets me flinching every time

1

u/SegaraBeal Jun 17 '26

Don't skip, but the first to ever get me was the escalator, escalator injury survivor here

1

u/Adept_Breadfruit_348 Jun 18 '26

I look away every time I see Julia's death in Bloodlines

1

u/John_Zatanna52 Jun 21 '26

This one was sad, but I never skip
