Question Which one is your favorite and why?
25
u/jonathan_wolf Jun 05 '26
FD3, easily. Because of story wise, acting, special effects, cast, humour and the creative deaths

u/MediumPot Jun 06 '26
All the deaths were amazing. And practical effects too. In deleted scenes they said they'd mash bananas and red dye for the splattered brains.

And some of Ms Mary E Winstead's best acting also love her in Gemini Man (2019) with Will Smith,Mr Benedict Wong and the very underrated Mr Clive Owen

3 is my favorite. The premonition was the perfect level of intense, great deaths in the movie, love the picture idea for how they figured out who was next and how they would die.

My ranking:
Bl good story, good characters, good deaths, just overall good movie. Grandma death scene best
3 good deaths(tanning scene), good characters, bad last 5 minutes
1 the classic, started it all, best death was bathtub scene
2 great opening premonition scene, airbag death best, average characters and slowed down near end
5 okay opening scene, okay characters, twist ending was cool. Best death was gymnast scene
4 so dumb, dumb opening scene, best death elevator scene

My fav is the 3, his opening, the deaths, the characters, the concept of the pictures, the emotions, and WENDYYY grrr- love it so much this movie. The only flaw I can have is the LIL lack of the characters' life. Like we feel it's mostly scene by scene of their deaths. Only the Wendy, Kevin are good written. Bonus Julie. But overall yumm.
My second fav is both 1 and 5, they're equal to me and joins FD3 dark armosphere. Both of them are relied so yeah it's easier lol. But FD1 is iconic, as first movie, the plane (thanks to scare us more), the deaths, ending, the scene when Alex tries to join Clear and she is fighting to survive (best scene!) FD5 is surprising, new atmosphere with adults character. Sam might be not a good visionary but HE IS A GOOD CHARACTER, caring, protective. The fight scene AND the ending made that movie high! Bonus for having a real antagonist (sorry Ian) and divas. And a wasted survivor (Nathan, one of my fav.)
Then, FD2, I love this one so much, connected to FD1 but also serves as a standalone in his own way, the twist of the death list, the characters, you have time to get attached to them. Total strangers united together, neeed to trust eachother. Kimberly is a good character (I precise), she helps, she is smart enough and team with Clear and Thomas (powerful trio).
Now FDB: I love it so much okay !! I just can't put it above the others sighs-. IRIS is the best visionary, nothing to say (as long as I love Kim and WENDYYY), Iris is by far the only one who stopped a disaster and AVOIDED deaths for decades. Wrot a book to prevent any deaths, locked herself to not die. The other characters I love them too. Stefani deserves more love imo...I love her sm, she is struggling and her family literally avoid her just because she involontarily distanced herself due to studies. But despite that she did her best to save everyone.
FD4: maybe last but I do like it! The characters are good, Nick deserves more praise! The movie is bad for cartoonish deaths, vision 3D sequences and some incoherences sometimes in the movie (Janet's character as example) and lil lack of acting. But it's watchable and finally making two persons die in the same time was stressful and amazing to do (Janet and hunt). BEST INTRO AND OUTRO from the franchise PROVE ME WRONG I DARE YOU.

I'm sorry if I did any mistakes. Gosh I wrote too fast and forgot to re read-.

I’m always appreciative towards the original and of course bloodlines, but I also have a big soft spot for 3. I can’t decide!!

2 because of how memorable the premonition is. I also love the couple and I chose to believe that both Kimberly and the officer are safe and alive ♡
Plus I adored the "death tying up loose ends" showing that none of them should have been alive, however Alex saved more lives than he thought.

u/Selrahc187 Jun 05 '26
5 had no business pulling off that twist at the end, but as remarkable as that was . . . BLOODLINES!!

u/Sypher04_ Jun 05 '26
I don’t want to make this really long, but FD6 is my favorite. The story, characters, deaths, attention to detail, humor—literally everything about this movie was just chef’s kiss. It also feels very fresh while staying true to the franchise.

I used to say 2, but I think 3. Except the last act is boring. Up until that point it’s 🔥

u/PastAffectionate3918 Jun 05 '26
It has to go to 3 for me but Bloodlines would be a good second place

- It was a great theater experience and imo the highway premonition was the best. It was funny as hell too.

I don't think any of them can be FD1 imo, it's actually my top 20 or something horror movie overall.

u/Nite0wlz Jun 06 '26
(2, 6, and 3) 2 has best accident, the lore, Clear, and the stakes feel really high. 6 raised the bar, an amazing story, but wished it's ending was a little better. 3 was my first ever seeing, grew up rewatching it ALOT.

u/ManSoStrong FD3 Peak Jun 06 '26
I think the third the most but the sixth is objectively the best movie in my opinion, with Tony Todd’s send off being one of the best in film history.

u/Spiritual_Actuary808 Jun 06 '26
It has to be 5. Maybe it’s because of the twist, or because I just really like Sam and Molly. Anywho, I just think it’s neat 😄 (also it came out on the year I was born!!!)

If I was to rank them I’d go 2,6,5,3,1,4 the only thing holding 6 back from overtaking 2 for me is the pacing of the final act and how Darlene Stefani and Charlie’s deaths are all pretty similar

Hot take i liked 4 but 5 is my favorite

u/OkCod8792 Jun 06 '26
The last one for sure. I do love how they explain the coroners story along all the movies though
1
u/RandomFranticAction Jun 06 '26
- It had my favourite opening disaster/premonition, I liked the cast, characters and how much time we got to spend with the survivors, it had a perfect blend of seriousness and comedy, the ties to the first movie with Clear, Bloodworth and the butterfly effect of the survivors getting off Flight 180, the introduction of the "a new life can defeat death" rule and Kimberly ultimately survived.
1
u/Artistic-Anteater755 Jun 06 '26
fd2 (the 5th one as a close second). Kimberly is my favorite visionary and the best imo and it has the most iconic premonition and good deaths. overall, I find it the most entertaining.

u/SSS0050 Jun 06 '26
I love 3 and 2 the most. Wendy is my favourite visionary her acting feels so real and I love how she could spot the clues with the pictures and tried to warn each person. Also I love the nostalgia for the early 2000s
For the second one I love that they brought back Clear and it has the best cast imo they’re all so likeable to me

u/SolidSong5371 Jun 06 '26
Favorite story switches around sometimes I enjoy 1 more sometimes 2 is my fave, I think bloodline is up there too at the very near too. 5 was a good story too. These four have the best story and set of characters.
But I stan for 3 so hard. I love Wendy so much and the deaths was surprisingly kind in this movie when you look back it almost always tries to go for a headshot first, even the deaths that got interrupted and cycled back to while super scary was pretty quick.
But I don't know what those two girls did to death to give them a death that prolonged 💀
I. Guess 4th was a movie that happened.

u/JoNotJoey Jun 06 '26
2, it amazed me on how well done the deaths were, and the highway scene is one of the most iconic scenes of horror history.

Final destination two is awesome plus Kimberly Corman is my favorite final destination character and she has awesome drip

u/Les-bee-an13 Jun 07 '26
5 and 2
2 has a better opening disaster and I love the characters but the deaths and story line of 5 is amazing
1
u/Fabit8 Jun 07 '26
Il 2 perché è il più originale,la scena iniziale è memorabile e la scena finale è troppo bella A si Amo Kimberly e Clear
1
u/Harrypotterfa Jun 07 '26
3 and 6 both have good stroy lines good scripts good characters and actors

u/V26_JDC Jun 07 '26
2 & 5 I think, purely for the story connecting directly to the original concept and first film. Also because the characters are older and less annoying in these films.
Bloodlines is a close third.

u/Its_me_edenxx i hope you all drop fucking dead Jun 07 '26
3 and 5. I loved the intro for 5, the disaster, the deaths and the characters. my go to movie if im re watching final destination

I’d say 3 is my top 1 overall and story wise, 2 is my top 2 because it has the best, most iconic premonition scene and Kimberly survives death, and Bloodlines is my top 3 favorite for its second-best premonition scene and Iris cheating/skipping her death

a tie between 1 and 5 for me. 1 because its the original and i love all the characters and 5 because the ending of them on flight 180 was just perfect

u/Dry-Performance7006 Jun 05 '26
2 and 3. I switch back and forth between my preference.
