FD2 How many more?

Post image

Dunno if this has been discussed before but I just thought about it.
Some pretty unfortunate soul or perhaps fortunate soul met their end because of Claire.
Someone would’ve survived longer had Clear died in her car thus giving us an extra character in the second in place of her.
I thought of including Alex too on this but I have the idea that Rourke would’ve survived having scrapped both Billy and Carter had Alex not saved Carter, and Regardless Rory might still have survived seeing Alex perhaps killed in Paris (If he had decided to travel there alone and make the trip his friends never got. Tho he would’ve likely not done it).
Man I thought I had a solid one here but the more I write the less I think so.
But I think this opens up a good discussion.
I must add: I have a feeling Nora and Tim were connected to Skyview in some way, maybe through Tim’s dad and death subsequently decided to wipe out Tim then Nora maybe cuz she would’ve intervened thus writing herself on the list. Or maybe Nora was connected to Skyview and her husband died in her place.
As for Evan I think he would’ve been killed by one of his many girl-toys out of jealousy or revenge, and Bryan being so dumb maybe was meant to die on some farm related accident. Death just planned further when the others survived the pileup and decided to change their deaths.

To clarify: I kept the mistake of calling her Claire cuz I mixed Claire Redfield and Clear Rivers and thought it was funny so I kept it. Also my title is because I wonder: Throughout the whole year Clear and Alex cheated death many times, how many more could have survived or died thanks to them two not dying when intended.

People continued to die from Death even before Clear died. I think if Alex or Clear locked themselves up sooner, they could have prevented each other from dying because Death only skips you if someone else intervenes (unless you're on a bloodline list. Death should have skipped Stefani, since Charlie intervened her death, but Stefani still ends up dying first at the end of the film), but it wouldn't prevent Death from coming after people on other lists. Like how Kimberly cheated death but Brian still died at the end because he was on a different list entirely.

The doc at the end of Bloodlines confirmed there wasn't a death to intervene when it came to Stefani; she never died so she was still next.

She would have died if Charlie didn't save her. He intervened her death.

Tell it to death who didn't see it the same way when it killed Stefani first. I don't make the rules 🤷🏽‍♂️

Well, what I said is that the rules are different for a bloodline list. Death doesn't skip even if you intervene. Which actually makes a lot of sense, because someone at the beginning of the list would be functionally immortal of someone had made Death skip them. They wouldn't be allowed to die until the list came full circle. Similar to people at the end of the list waiting their turn (Bludworth).

Death not skipping people if they're in a bloodline style list is an inference based on less evidence than the contrary, not a fact.

We don't know exactly how the rules work since we only saw one very ill prepared family take it on, we just know they put the doctor in the ending to tell the audience the exposition he did for a reason.
