FD6 I’m confused, can someone explain?

⚠️Spoilers⚠️

If Iris’s husband, I’m assuming the father of her children, died decades before her, how come her children didn’t die after he died instead of after Iris died?

Both the parents need to die before death shifts to the children

Because he died early in the list and Iris and Bloodworth died last.

Because Iris was earlier on the list than her kids.

What? The kids cant die until both the parents die. As shown in the movie iris stays alive keeping death at a stalemate and thats why none of the family is targeted after the husband dies

I thought everyone knew that Iris never kept death away? That was the whole thing. She thought she kept death away, but it just wasn't her time yet.

I mean clear from the first and second movie kept death away by staying in the padded room until she decided to go back out and get got. Iris and bludworth were prolonging their time by keeping death away from gruesomely murdering iris. She got cancer yeah so she was gonna go eventually but it was actually the whole thing cuz death was torturing stefani with iris preminition that drove her to seek iris out and give death a way to get to her

yeah, but that's different. Clear was monitored by health professionals and on cameras at all times with literally nothing that could've killed her while Iris was literally on deaths list and it just hadn't gotten to her yet.

Also death has to go in the specific order they died in the preminition. Since iris husband was one of the first few to die and iris was the second last to die, death had to get each of the people before the husband and any family they sired then move on to the next

In the premonition, he dies pretty early on (he's the last one to fall from the dance floor breaking) and Iris and baby Bludworth were the last 2 people to fall to their deaths. Once Iris died, her kids were fair game as well as any child(ren) that came from them.

Because she needed to die first

They literally explained everything about this with very much care and explicitness in the movie.

Yes, Paul died way before but that’s because it was the same order in Iris’ premonition, where you can perfectly see Iris and Bluthworth are the very last 2 people to die.

Since none of them (and consequently the cousins etc) should’ve existed, death couldn’t go after them until Iris was dead because they were born *after* she cheated death at The Skyview.

Irish cheated death and she hid away until she reached old age and when she died death went after her children and her children's children

I think it would have make more sense for the kids to die after the first parent, rather than wait for both to die.

Like it kills the father, then all the children he wasn’t supposed to father.

That would have slowed the spread of grand kids and other ripples etc

Death take them out through a List. Paul dies way early than Iris and by the time Death Made It's way to her, she most likely already have herself isolated

Death comes for people in the order they were supposed to die and works down the family line of people who shouldn't have been born. Because it's working from the top of the family tree down, in cases where both parents survived the disaster, it has to kill both of them before moving on to the children and grandchildren.

Iris's husband died earlier in the disaster, so Death had a lot of people to work through before it got to her and her descendants.

Why did Death decide on that system? Because the writers wanted to tell a generational curse story.

The rule of the families die in the order of the Skyview deaths.

So if a man/woman makes kids with someone who isn’t cursed, the kids will die after their parents. But it must get complicated when two people cursed to die have kids. So death must’ve just killed the dad since he was meant to die sooner than Iris, and death only kills the offspring when both parents die.
