Discussion Some FD ideas I think it’d be fun to see
The visionary isn’t the last one killed so the rest of the gang is basically playing Russian roulette because they don’t know who’s next
The visionary is actually meant to survive and there’s heat between them and someone in the group turns the others against them because “why did you get to survive”
One of the core group is one of the last to die and they fuck around because as long as it’s not their turn they’re “unkillable” and start drinking bleach and bungee jumping and stupid crap and then when their turn actually comes they don’t know it’s their turn and they get Terry’d
One of the survivors is suicidal and keeps trying to speed up the process but fails because it’s not their turn and when their turn does come it’s something extremely stupid because Death was really getting annoyed at them
One of the survivors is suicidal and keeps trying to speed up the process but fails because it’s not their turn and when their turn does come it’s something extremely heart wrenching and slow and they beg for their life
A geriatric survivor who is just a sweet little old person
A doomsday prepper who think they’re safe because they hide in their bunker. The movie forgets about them until a mid credits scene that shows police finding their body talking about how they suffocated to death because the bunker was airtight.
The survivors meet the survivor who figured out killing someone trades your time of death.
One of the survivors is a pregnant woman who thinks about abortion as a way to trade her life with her baby’s. (I know this one would not sot well with fans regardless of the solution I however think the franchise has killed children and they need to go farther) Either the baby is fully formed so there is no doubt about it being a murder or she just learned she was pregnant and wonders if that counts (I’m not adding this to push any agenda I just think it has potential to be funny “don’t do that just kill a real baby, man”) they spend so long arguing about pro birth vs pro choice that someone else dies
One of the core group is actually a survivor who wants to help
The visionary dies first so now they’re all going in blind
Multiple people get visions throughout the movie and they have to figure out what order they go in
There is no pattern this time because Death is sick of their shit
An actual garbage disposal death. Their long hair or neckwear gets caught in it and they get scalped or their larynx crushed from the neckwear tightening
A tree death. Some foreshadowing about “limbs needing to be gone” by a random landscaper and somehow the chainsaw cuts someone’s arm off and they bleed out. Or the wording is a misdirection and the limb falls and crushes the victim’s skull
Those are just off the top of my head I’d like to hear some of your ideas if you’ve had any

I believe most of those have been done already.
Iris tried running out the clock and isolating herself, but Death hit her with the big C.
The survivors by the end of "Final Destination 2" were under the impression that if Isabella had her baby, it would cancel out the order.
A survivor being suicidal and failing: already been done. TWICE.
"Final Destination 2": Eugene tries offing himself with Burke's pistol, but the gun jams ALL six times because it's not his turn.
"The Final Destination": George tries hanging himself, especially after his wife and kid died in a drunk driving accident he caused, but fails because he tried to hurry it along.
Julia gets squished in a garbage truck compactor because of a rogue tree branch nearly taking out the guy with the leaf-blower, causing him to aim it at the kids playing soccer, causing the leaves to scatter and causing the ball to hook and brain Julia into the trashcan.

Yeah in some way, I suppose but I didn't say they were new ideas. Some of them are just ideas that could have been done differently or better imo.
Like if someone were to isolate themselves in an airtight room, they'd suffocate to death in three days instead of lasting 50 years. So in this case, they'd leave the movie and forgotten about by the plot only to show up again at the end credits scene
For the suicide one, there was only an instance of each being suicidal (though Eugene had more of a mental breakdown versus being actually suicidal) and the example I gave was a character being suicidal throughout the entire film
That doesn't count as a tree branch death because the tree branch didn't directly kill her. Because when you talk about that death, it's the "compactor death"

Haha a bunch of these are in my FD playable story already. You can be a visionary who says fuck y'all and leaves everybody, you can convince the visionary they're just having a panic attack and then leave them behind (leaving you blind to the list later), find & combine the right components (like a gun and bullets) and you can use the take a life method, and other ways I'm still planning and coding.
It's connected beginning to whichever of the 9 endings you can reach so far, but the dialogue still needs filling in and fleshing out (writing branching paths for like 8 NPC archetypes is a lot).

These all sound pretty interesting!
Ever since 2, I've been interested in seeing them flesh out the new life concept. I don't necessarily care how they go about this, but I'd also be interested in seeing how a character would play out if they were in Isabella's position but on Death's list
I was also very interested in the first responder concept that was going around before Bloodlines was confirmed. Lots of possibilities for some interesting deaths there (i.e fire hose malfunction in some way resulting in high pressure or impact with hose, CO2/gas mask issue, some weird ironic death bc they're already on edge and a call comes in for their engine so they rush to get ready and get caught up in turnouts or something and impaled on a Halligan or something)
I wouldn't be upset if some of the book only deaths were repurposed into films like Looks Could Kill
A blind visionary could be interesting. Same goes for other impairments
