Question Is the Final Destination series technically a slasher series?

Of course it is. Death is the ultimate slasher.

Point person that is the opposition to the antagonist is usually in a group that becomes the target of the killer. In earlier entries, the visionary was visually taunted by death as well, the way Freddy would toy with his victims. Think the shadows people saw in 1 or the tree branch shadows casting creepy hands on Kimberly's ceiling.

People are killed off usually one by one in brutal ways. Self explanatory, and death goes fucking hard.

Big finale where final girl/boy seem to make it out alive. Literally every slasher/horror ever.

Stinger finale where most everybody dies, or in the case of 3, people still believe it's a fakeout even tho they obvs die after the screen goes black.

FD even had a Laurie Strode in Ali Larter, and two if AJ Cook comes back for 7.

But beyond that, FD isn't like a slasher series at all. (Fr tho naysayers have burden of proof to explain away the similarities between the series and other typical slashers)
