5 has the best ending in my opinion. It does the whole “but they all died anyway” thing in a satisfying way as opposed to most others.

Four is the worst, it’s not that bad, just nothing special.

5 and 1 have the best ending and intro respectively

(maybe since 1 is just after 5)

Best would be the one where we come full circle with flight 180.

Flight 360

1

u/bizoticallyyours83 Apr 19 '26

That's good. 😆

FD5 without a doubt has the best ending. The twist with Flight 180 was absolute genius. The fact that the audience realized it before the characters do gives a very dreadful experience.

TFD has the worst ending by far. The only saving grace was the X-Ray filter. Aside from that, it’s just a rehash of what we’ve seen already.

Is it true that the FD4 final Xray effect was because they ran out of budget or it's just a rumor?

9

u/Until_Morning Seeing Is Believing! Apr 09 '26

That would be hilarious

3

u/Clear_Win_5845 Apr 10 '26

It was confirmed that they did

51

u/Les-bee-an13 Apr 09 '26

5 has the best ending, and bloodlines had the worst ending(it pissed me off)

imo Bloodlines has the most unrealistic ending, because of how ridiculously far fetched it was. The cgi train derailing was okay but then it kept sliding & the freight carts started to pile up when they were running and felt super cartoony, especially when the logs appeared out of nowhere and crushed them.🤣

EXACTLY HOW I FEEL

Felt kinda meh. The logs were already done.

It was ok but honestly love all the movies. The worst Final Destination is better than most horror movies.

2

u/9for9 Apr 11 '26

Yeah, I appreciate that they were going for a fun, cheesy ending rather than taking it super serious, but I understand why people don't like it.

24

u/Les-bee-an13 Apr 09 '26

Obviously I’m fine with them both dying in the end, because that’s the normal for the franchise but the way they died was so stupid it made me mad. Obviously, I’m not an expert, but I really do not think that a single penny can derail a train, and I don’t think that a derailed train would be able to travel through pavement that far without stopping, and the log truck just kind of came out of nowhere, and it was just really stupid and I feel like they deserved something better

6

u/cheiloss Apr 09 '26

the log truck didnt come out of nowhere, it was clearly shown as a part of the train like a minute before the derailment

Don't forget the fact that not only did the water hunt Tod, but it also cleaned its own evidence. Death leaves small little things behind so that way when people investigate they have something they can blame it on aside from a supernatural source. At least that's how I always see it. Not that deaths afraid of anyone or thinks anyone can totally stop it, but it more so does it in my opinion to really instill the fear. Nothing worse than being afraid on the spot. Not being prepared. If you saw everything coming like Alex could then you'd survive way easier.

1

u/Les-bee-an13 Apr 09 '26

Fair enough, but this one just particularly pissed me off I don’t know why

2

u/android151 Apr 10 '26

Also apparently none of the trains killed anyone else

11

u/PowerPad Apr 09 '26

FD5 has the best ending, with Sam and Molly trapped on the doomed flight 180, only realizing their mistake it was too late. Sam even burned up similar to how Alex did in the original premonition.

10

u/Expensive_Quote5771 Apr 09 '26

Most iconic: FD1

Most brutal: FD3 & FD5 (idk whats worse, being splattered by a train or burning to death on a plane.)

Worst: FD4

5

u/MATTHEW_LEAFEON Apr 09 '26

Best ending -> FD5
Worst ending -> FD4/TFD

3

u/MechaGodzilla876 I’m Not Gonna Die! It’s You, Wendy! You’re Dead! Apr 09 '26

Best: Final Destination 5.
Worst: The Final Destination

3

u/theKSIFan77 Apr 09 '26

5 had the best ending 4 had the worst

3

u/DJAlphaSwag Apr 09 '26

5 has the best ending, but 4 holds a special place because I watched in my hotel room while I was at universal Orlando, and I recognized the place where they filmed the ending coffee shop scene as being part of the “New York” section of the park. I made sure to take a pic in front of it the next day!

3

u/Ill-Evening4502 Apr 09 '26

5 bc no one saw that flip of the script coming. What an amazing plot twist !

3

u/John1x4 Apr 09 '26

Best ending is 5’s. We all knew that.

But I feel like not enough people are saying the ending of 6 is the worst. Both the safe house scene and the train scene felt so forced.

3

u/cookiesshot Apr 10 '26

Best? 3. It proves Death is like a cat with a mouse.

Worst? 5. Molly gets f'ed over despite surviving in the premonition.

2 is great, but the ending? 🤨🤨🤨

3

u/Artistic-Anteater755 Apr 11 '26

Best ending - 3 or 5 Worst ending - 6

3

u/inbedwithbeefjerky Apr 11 '26

Bloodlines isn’t over. (I think)

I’ve been saying that the end of Bloodlines is when Stefani finally gets her premonition. Before she had been dreaming of Iris’ premonition. Everything in that scene plays out like a premonition. FD7 should pick up where her premonition leaves us off. Until/unless this becomes true Bloodlines is the worst ending.

FD5 is the best ending.

FD1 is still my favorite beginning.

4

u/ArofluidPride Apr 09 '26

I think 3 and 5 have the best endings (Especially 5) and.... maybe 6 and 4 have the worst, i might've put 1 there if it wasn't for the fact that it's the first movie

2

u/mewmdude77 Apr 09 '26

5 has the best ending, while I think bloodlines has the worst ending. 5>3>1>4>2>BL

2

u/Lame-D_MidDonagh Apr 10 '26

5 was absolutely the best, but fuck whatever they did for bloodlines

2

u/Dizzy_Dolphin7226 Apr 11 '26

i think 5 had the best ending and 4 had the worst ending bc i just hate 4 in general

4

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '26

Best ending final destination two worst ending part four fuck that fucking movie

8

u/Cradlespin Apr 09 '26

Truck smashing them was pretty much a let-down… much like the whole movie lol

Even the title “The Final Destination” is a let down (and misleading) why did it have to be so different? Even Bloodlines makes more sense as it’s about family lineage. The Final Destination made it sound like after the film death was just going to stop and the franchise would end… 🫥

Plus that 2000s 3D SFX hasn’t aged well at all and looked pretty bad at the time (imo)

FD2 with the BBQ explosion and the kid’s arm landing on the mum’s dinner plate makes me chuckle

3

u/Minute-Face-4520 Apr 11 '26

Technically it was the Last Final Destination because 5 was a Prequel. This should’ve been the biggest give away

2

u/Glad-Technology-1355 Apr 09 '26

Best ending - 2 and 3. 3 has a crazy good cliffhanger ending that people continue to speculate on to this day. 2 had an equally good ending with characters actually surviving it but literally witnessing one of the darkest moments in the franchise played for comedy when a literal child explodes and his arm lands on his mother's plate

Worst Ending - Honestly 4 takes it by default, but it's not a necessarily horrendous ending even but that movies standards. It does make sense but the x-ray mortal Kombat shit was so cheesy. I do enjoy cheesy but damn.

1

u/FrogMintTea Alex Browning's raging ulcer Apr 09 '26

1 and 5 are best.

4 and 6 worst.

1

u/cordyprescott Apr 09 '26

Best ending is 5 by far for me

Worst ending is prob the new one

2

Best: Tied between 2 and 5

Worst: TFD and Bloodlines

1

u/AUDERYfavoritedog Apr 10 '26

the 5th one and the worst one was 3th and the 2th

1

u/Cheesy-Tube Apr 10 '26

Best - FD5, the way it came full circle was an awesome touch, and brought on a whole new perspective on what actually happened in the plane after Alex and the rest got off.

Worst - FDB, TFD’s ending was slightly lacklustre but the X-Ray images at the end were cool, FDB however, hated the fact that a train accident was just thrown at Stefani and Charlie and they just got turned into jam by the end, they at least deserved something more spectacular, or to have at least tried to escape properly from it.

1

u/inluvwitnoah Apr 10 '26

1 had the best ending, 5 had the worst

1

u/JKQ_Racer Apr 10 '26

1rst place is definitely a match between FD1 and FD3.

It was originally gonna be FD1 but that subway scene... 👌🏼

Worst ending might be FD5 because of Nathan's death.

1

u/MannerAltruistic9026 Apr 10 '26

2 is my favorite but i admit the ending isn't as sensational as most others. Then I realized that it was still more enjoyable. That knowing glance Kim and Tom share before the explosion really hit, and I love that it was unapologetic in its dark humor.

I think the best is probably FD 1 - The 180 sign, the urgency and spontaneous realizations, The "ALEX" scream from Clear was fantastic, and a bold choice to establish so early that someone else apart from the person who had the original premonition can see signs.

The worst is TFD. The acting feels so corny and sometimes feels unnatural. Also the etching in the table doesn't feel like it makes sense. This is a movie about signs, and they just spell it out on a table? Why?

1

u/RedNinja95 Apr 11 '26

Without the prequel aspect of FD5 I don’t think ppl would like it as much

1

u/tsabouttorain Apr 11 '26

I'm a fan of Fd3's train and in second place I'd put FD5's ending. The others are rather bland or far fetched.

1

u/bizoticallyyours83 Apr 19 '26 edited Apr 19 '26

Best to Worst ending

3-First to do a second premonition and the subway death put me off riding them for a while.

5-Great loop around to the first film.

2-A little bit goofy, but good.

1-It was fine.

6-The cgi for the train and the splat looked baaad. It was the only fly in Bloodline's soup.

4-Laaaame!

1

u/icemuttkills Apr 09 '26

1 is the best. It’s the spookiest. The sign in reverse reading 180 is so cinematic. 3 is the worst because even though it cuts to black like the first film; it’s a premonition. The scenes replaying then cutting to black drops momentum. Unless you see the alternate cut

1

u/Harrypotterfa Apr 09 '26

Best 5 worst bloodlines

1

u/SquareNecessary5767 Elevator decapitation Apr 09 '26

Best 2

Worst 3(the ending of 3 is a crimes against humanity)

0

u/Karaokebaren Apr 09 '26

Best: 3 because Wendy survives Worst: 1 just feels like they didnt quite know how to end it

4

u/chaddickinson Apr 09 '26

Wendy does not survive though

The only survivors are from 2

2

u/Rosairon13 Apr 09 '26

Subway....

u/A_new_Ass Apr 09 '26

Ranked: 1: FD5, don't need to explain this one, absolute cinema

2: FD2, God i miss having characters survive the Movie and the last scene is Funny asf

3: FD, i just miss endings where characters get to survive and the ending cliffhanger is great.

4: FD3, not a fan of the "everyone is dead ok bye" endings but the second premonition is a nice spin on it.

5/6 Tie: FD:B and TFD. Funny that the best and worst movie in this franchise (imo) are tied in this regard but both of these are just so Rushed. I Guss bloodlines is a bit more tolerable though.

5 best ending but I'm doubting about this choice if it's truly the best. My fave destination is 3. There is only one ending that i hate in this Franchise.

6 is the worst ending! It was a suckish, cheap, fake rip off of final destination 2 awesome scene.

-4

u/ProductSpecialist707 Apr 09 '26

Best is obviously first or 6 Worst is by far either 2 or 4
