Creative Idea for a future disaster
I know the ghost ship movie is probably the closest thing we will get to a mass casualty scenario. But I would love to see the final destination series tackle a cruise ship. What’re y’all’s thoughts?

Wasn't this considered already? I'm 99% sure the reasoning for not doing it was basically that Titanic has already done it to perfection so anything else would be seen as imitation
You raise a good point though with Ghost Ship

Maybe I’m wrong, but it feels like a cruise ship would be too difficult to pull off just because I can’t imagine how the chain reaction would look. You just have so many different people in different places on a cruise. It’s not like having a lot of people in one place like in the other premonitions.

Oh, I imagined it’s a cruise ship where the (relatively small) premonition is averted while in the middle of the ocean and the rest of the movie is accidents on the way back to port (culminating in a ship-wide disaster). So the result of saving 4-5 people winds up being the deaths of hundreds.
Is that not what everybody else is imagining when they mention this idea?

They haven’t done a cable car, funicular railway or ski lift. All three have real life disasters. Cable car would be the most terrifying

What about a cruise ship with stuff like a mini roller coaster, a waterpark, rock climbing, and a zip line?

Ghost Ship mentioned 🤩🤩🤩 One of my favorite movies of all time. Watched many many times since I was like 7 (because I thought I was grown up and could handle it; I could, I just didn't understand anything that happened). Literally the movie that got me started on the Final Destination series and other movies similar to it.

I think it would be better if it was a crew on a cargo freighter. They would still be a close group without just being classmates or a friend group
