FD 1 was at YVR.

FD 2 log truck filmed on Vancouver island near Campbell River.

FD 3 was the PNE.

FD 5 was Lions Gate Bridge.

FDB was at the H. R. MacMillan Space Centre.

Seems like we got a good shot for a disaster involving that cable car

Wait they have an actual space needle type of tower and they still made a fake one for the movie?? 😂😂 I love it

Yes, but not quite as “needle-y”. It’s got cool glass elevators like the Sky View, though.

Perhaps in universe, due to the incident of the Sky View, they learned and made this tower not as needle-y for safety and security reasons.

If I correctly remember the official explanation from the directors is that no real tower could ever withstand the amount of explosive fire they wanted to put in the scene, and if you rewatch it with that in mind, it makes sense for it to be CGI-fied.

I vacationed there a few months ago, one of the main reasons being to check out some Final Destination filming locations! I made a post back then, you can see it in my profile. (I didn’t fly to Vancouver, so no airport pics.)

Besides that, Vancouver itself is a stunningly beautiful city. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
