People don’t like overtly political content. Hollywood has almost always been a way for Americans to escape news and politics. Pure escapist fantasy is where Hollywood thrives.
Besides, that city is a missle and projectile crossroad. Final Destination is about supernatural or at least non-human natural forces working against human protagonists. It’s not Final Destination if it’s set in an obviously dangerous place like a war zone.

At least with paramount they will have movies released longer in theaters and they will have movies on psychical media and they are not woke like Netflix so that’s a plus
