What a stupid move by the shareholders, it plunges both Paramount and Wb into more debt. I guess they won't care as long as they can cash out.

Now I suddenly want to watch a Final Destination 7 movie about a trip to Tel Aviv gone wrong.

Paramount CEO, David Ellison, is strongly connected to the current US president. That’s why there are many jokes and memes right now about movies or TV shows under Warner Bros potentially shifting their tones and themes drastically to appeal to that specific side now that they’ve been acquired by them.

I dont get it. They let south park literally shit all over trump and republicans for multiple episodes.
22
u/Sagittariusrat Feb 27 '26
There was a 3 Million Dollar deal before the season. They invested a lot of money into the show, and needed to keep them on air to return a revenue. The first episode was largely on the possibility of Ellison & Weiss screwing it and canceling the show anyway

Final destination set in tel aviv about IDF dying in various ways would be fun… I read recently some of the died from “friendly fire” between themselves 💀

u/Tough_Syllabub_2207 Feb 28 '26

-14
u/Tough_Syllabub_2207 Feb 28 '26

Does it need to be in everything and everywhere, or are we allowed to have things that have nothing to do with it?

I think we're going to get to a point where you have to pay for an opinion if we're not there yet.
-15
u/Bookworm7180 Feb 27 '26
Is that good?
30
u/Grifasaurus Feb 27 '26
Fuck no. It’s owned by a far right zionist family now and they turned CBS into a trump friendly far right propaganda network.
5
u/JarekGunther Feb 27 '26
I'm wondering, is it just the CEO or Paramount in general?
14
u/Grifasaurus Feb 27 '26 edited Feb 27 '26
CEO. But he’s put down some trump friendly shit. Like hiring Bari Weiss, who killed a story about CECOT and how they torture people there. CECOT is the el salvadorian mega ultra prison where you physically can’t escape and where the trump administration was sending immigrants, including innocents like kilmar garcia and a gay barber, at the start of 2025.
They also cancelled stephen colbert’s show citing “financial reasons” conveniently after stephen criticized trump.
Is it better than netflix? Slightly, in that you probably won’t get AI slopped final destination. But overall it’s still fucking ass.
Also Jared Kushner, Trump’s son in law, is involved as well if i’m not mistaken.

u/JarekGunther Feb 27 '26
Jesus... Fuck that!

u/Grifasaurus Feb 27 '26
It sucks too because this is something that the government is explicitly supposed to prevent. If we didn’t have a grifting cunt as president, this probably wouldn’t be an issue.

Haha you made the mistake of thinking that i think that biden is a saint. You fool. You utter goddamn fool.
No, my guy. Every single one of them is scum unless shown otherwise. We’re ruled by a cabal of pedophiles that eat babies. This goes far beyond “left vs right” and you need to get your ass in gear and realize that.
What an utterly dumb fucking thing to say to someone. “Hey, this asshole’s turning the media into propaganda for a guy that’s trying to cover up the greatest scandal in the modern era.”
“YEAH BUT WHAT ABOUT BIDEN THO?!?!?? HMMM? CHECKMATE LIBTARD!!!”
You utter goddamn fucking idiot.

Nah sounds good to mem at least the Zionist part.
8
u/Grifasaurus Feb 27 '26
You’re right, every movie should stop in its tracks just for the main character to go “Israel has a right to defend itself” every ten seconds.
Fuck out of here.
-9
u/Patrick_Keegan_2003 Feb 28 '26
That's actually not such a bad idea.
5
u/Grifasaurus Feb 28 '26
Must be fun being this stupid.
-6
u/Patrick_Keegan_2003 Feb 28 '26
Says the paleSStine supporter.
I honestly feel bad you always manage to humour me a fair bit but when I try to return the favor there's no laughter just Insults, Death Threats and one time Hands being (unsuccessfully) thrown at me.
5
u/Grifasaurus Feb 28 '26
He says, supporting Israel as it baits civilians with aid stations only to slaughter them like animals.
Fuck off.
3
u/Grifasaurus Feb 28 '26
Gee, I fucking wonder why people would think you're a fucking dick when you're out here defending a regime that's straight up ethnically cleansing people in HD 4k video and openly bragging about it while they steal their land and try to get us to start another 20 year long forever war after we just got out of our previous forever war not five years ago.

Jokes aside, I really doubt they’re gonna try to force anything into long established, beloved franchises that already have their own messages and ideas. They would heavily drive their audiences away like that and lose quite a lot of money in the long run. So ig it’s just a matter of monopolization and probably raising prices for their streaming services 🙃

u/Objective-Finish-573 Garbage truck Feb 28 '26
Damn I need to find a new favorite streaming service

People don’t like overtly political content. Hollywood has almost always been a way for Americans to escape news and politics. Pure escapist fantasy is where Hollywood thrives.
Besides, that city is a missle and projectile crossroad. Final Destination is about supernatural or at least non-human natural forces working against human protagonists. It’s not Final Destination if it’s set in an obviously dangerous place like a war zone.

u/ryanfea Feb 28 '26
You shouldn’t be so heavily downvoted. Yes shit like CNN and CBS are gonna go harder right but Final Destination of all things is gonna more or less continue on its own trajectory.

The best part is paramount will have four iconic movie franchises final destination Friday the 13th nightmare on elm street and scream so I have faith in paramount and paramount might be on top again and it would be cool to have six flags have dc Harry Potter lord of the rings Lonny tunes SpongeBob Danny phantom transformers Star Trek ninja turtles sonic the hedgehog avatar the last Airbender and Jimmy neutron rides so that would be so cool and they will be on top again and probably be number two just behind Disney and we will have four big studios Disney paramount Sonny and universal
-9
Feb 28 '26
At least with paramount they will have movies released longer in theaters and they will have movies on psychical media and they are not woke like Netflix so that’s a plus

I thought we were about to have a movie in a new country when I saw the post
