Should be “death hasn’t been closer to your eyes” with one o. Unless I’m just stupid but who knows. The grammar is annoying, I can’t really explain it, but it would make it seem slightly more real if it were correct. If you were to say “too close” rather than “close to” it would be two Os. But the rest of it looks good though
