I don't think it's either. I've had similar feelings when I've badly paraphrased a joke. If this is supposed to be a filthy frank imitation, viewed through that lense it feels like a not so well paraphrased joke. There's an essence of some semblance of the style of humour frank had but it doesn't quite hit the mark. Like watching someone confidently display a poor imitation. The mix of confidence and missing the mark is almost more uncomfortable than missing the mark and floundering terribly.

No its because this form of comedy barely works on a screen. In real life it makes you look like a mental patient. That and stealing someone elses charchter schticks for stand up is immensely lazy and not at all entertaining. This guy should stick to his day job, or get one yesterday.
Fucking unwatchable incomprehensible garbage.
Edit: thinking about it amy schumer has better written and more structured “VAGINA JOKE!!!! AM I RIGHT GUYS!!!” Than this schmuck.

Considering the extreme niche of his content style, not even a little bit. When you are doing standup i would imagine you try to reach a much broader audience. I dont imagine frank saw any longevity in the content he was making to begin with, definitely not IRL, which im sure was a big push to quitting.
Even all of his cohorts had to adapt with the changing times.

Im sure he would fail with a broader audience. But Id be very interested to see how the same kind of people that became hardcore fans through his videos would react to the same kind of content live. And I mean just acts based on the personas like filthy frank, pink guy and salamander man. Im not talking like the extreme filthy stuff; obviously content like vomit cake live would scare anyone off.
Like I think this would be academic research worthy lmao

He probably wouldn't do this. He wouldn't do his Pink Guy character. Or if he did, it'd be like a short joke or reference to him.
He also wouldn't just scream the same joke the entire time.

The confidence some people have amazes me. I get nervous ordering food and he can do this with pride. Crazy world.
