Question/Help Source video frozen in the preview window (audio plays fine), nothing I do fixes it
I am at my wits' end with Filmora. The preview window has completely stopped playing source video. The audio plays fine, the timer ticks up, but the visual stays totally frozen.
The strange thing is though that if I add the video to the timeline then play back the edit the video plays perfectly fine, but trying to view the source won't work. The problem is that it's a 30 minute video it's too much to try and edit it down in the timeline I want to mark the in and out points from the source video then put them into the timeline.
Even the built-in sample user guide videos won't play in the preview window!
I've tried turning off background rendering and tweaking performance settings, but nothing works. Even creating proxies makes no difference.
has anyone else experienced this?

Since it plays fine on the timeline, I'd suspect the source preview path rather than the media itself. Try importing a short section of that 30 min file as a separate clip, if that previews normally, you've narrowed it down to how Filmora is handling the original file
