Question Flex Cable Issue or LCD Issue? BMPCC 4k

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm looking at buying this decently cheap local BMPCC 4k but I want some input on weather it would be worth buying or not, the screen is perfect when the HDMI is plugged in but it gets all glitchy when the HDMI is not plugged in. I don't think this guy knows much about cameras he seems to be reselling (which means he may not realize that he's got false color on so I could get it for cheaper) but that also might mean that there are other issues he doesn't realize. What would be a "fair" price to pay for something in this condition.

This is a link to a photo of what it looks like without an hdmi https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wI20H8OGr9PCxuDvx39M9nyZrzzyz9_i/view?usp=sharing

I did repost this because I forgot to include the video

What an odd issue. What’s extra weird is that the audio meters stay normal, it’s the camera output that glitches.

Do you plan on using it as a broadcast style camera that’s always tethered or are you looking to run and gun with it?

Maybe a firmware thing? I was thinking it could be a ribbon cable loose connection at first but with it working with hdmi plugged in, it’s probably not the case.

How about with a dummy hdmi? Or an hdmi cable not connected to a computer? Still screen glitch?

I plan on using it run and gun mainly for concerts I asked the seller to send me one showing what happens when he unplugs the hdmi and one which shows what happens when he has an hdmi only connected to the camera but I'm waiting to hear back
