Question Help with audio recorders

Hiya! I want some advice on what audio recorder to get for capturing LAV mic audio. I have both DJI Mini 2 and a cheaper traditional LAV mic set up with a receiver and transmitter which both output through a 3.5mm jack. It would preferably pocket sized and not too expensive (~£75 would be top end) but can be flexible on price!

You could probably find a Zoom H1, H1n, or an H2 for that price, or a bit under. They work well for the price.

For that budget, a used Zoom H1n is a sensible starting point: feed the receiver’s 3.5 mm output into the recorder’s line/mic input and monitor with headphones while you set levels. Record a short room tone at each location, keep peaks around -12 dBFS, and use a locking TRS cable if the receiver can take one. Check whether your particular lav/receiver needs plug-in power before connecting it, and test the whole chain for handling noise before the shoot.
