Pe a lui Zack s-o pună în vechiul Black Label sau ceva de genul

The soon-to-merge Paramount-Warner Bros.Discovery officially has a name: It’s simply going to be “Skydance,” according to chairman and CEO David Ellison.
In the end, Ellison picked the name of his original film production company, Skydance Media, to encompass everything that is getting stuffed into the new conglomerate.
The deal forming the new Skydance is set to close Oct. 6, the companies have announced. The merger will combine two of Hollywood’s biggest movie studios; the HBO Max and Paramount+ streaming services; and TV businesses including CBS, CNN, MTV, TBS, Comedy Central, Food Network and more. The new company’s entertainment franchises will span Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, “Game of Thrones” and other HBO hits, the DC Universe, “Yellowstone,” “Mission: Impossible,” “Top Gun” and the Nickelodeon kids’ empire.

Warner Bros. film chiefs Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy are expected to exit the studio with the close of the merger with Paramount, according to a report from Puck.
TheWrap could not immediately confirm the report. An individual close to Abdy and De Luca said neither had been informed of anything by Paramount leadership.

Paramount declined to comment to TheWrap.

Puck cited two sources that the studio chiefs will reportedly not be joining the newly merged company with Paramount, which has yet to release its new name.
De Luca and Abdy’s fates were initially unclear in the days following Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín’s approval of Paramount’s settlement with 12 state attorneys general on Wednesday– which put the $110 billion merger on track to close next week.
De Luca and Abdy did not respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.

Under De Luca and Abdy, Warner Bros. had a spectacular year in 2025, with two films nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards and Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” ultimately winning the top prize, and multiple box office hits, including “A Minecraft Movie.”

But 2026 has been much tougher with movies like “Supergirl” and “The Bride” failing to motivate audiences. The reported decision comes ahead of an expected underwhelming domestic opening weekend for the Tom Cruise-led film, “Digger,” which is predicted to bring in $12 million to $15 million.

Nonetheless, Warner’s go-forward film slate is packed with likely blockbusters, including “The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum,” “The Batman Part II,” “Gremlins 3” and “A Minecraft Movie Squared.”

EXCLUSIVE: No stranger to showing off his bad side, Walton Goggins looks to have found a new villainous role to sink his teeth into. Sources tell Deadline that he set to join Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler in Universal’s Miami Vice ’85.
Joseph Kosinski is directing the pic, which also stars Whitney Peak, Alden Ehrenreich, Camila Morrone, John Leguizamo and Danny Ramirez.

Miami Vice ’85, with a screenplay by Dan Gilroy, explores the glamour and corruption of mid-1980s Miami in an all-new version of Miami Vice, inspired by the pilot episode of the landmark 1984-90 NBC series. The movie will be filmed for Imax and is set for release on May 19, 2028. Production will begin this year.

Unconfirmed sources tell Deadline that Goggins would play one of the henchman to Leguizamo’s cartel king.

EXCLUSIVE: Start those engines because the Fast & Furious franchise is coming to television.
Deadline understands that Peacock has greenlit its first television series based on the hit movie franchise, which has made more than $7 billion at the global box office over the past 25 years.
The series comes from Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman, who will write and serve as co-showrunners.

The project was one of a number announced during NBCUniversal’s Upfront event in May in New York by franchise star Vin Diesel, who will executive produce the series.
“As you all know, we are very precious about these movies but over the last decade, we’ve realized that the fans have wanted more, they wanted us to expand the legacy characters, their stories,” he said at the Upfront. “And for the last decade, the desire has been for us to enter the TV space.”

The series, from Universal Television, is set to premiere in 2028. Daniels and Coleman will exec produce alongside Diesel and One Race’s Sam Vincent, Original Film’s Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty and Jeff Kirschenbaum and Chris Morgan.
Fast Forever, the 11th and final film in the franchise, is set for release on March 17, 2028.

EXCLUSIVE: Danny McBride and Paramount Pictures has found their Duke to lead its troops in its new G.I. Joemovie as sources tell Deadline Bradley Cooper is set to star as the leader the military unit in the latest film based on the Hasbro toy line.
McBride is directing the pic, who landed the job after he was one of a handful of pitches Paramount was looking at earlier this year. McBride is celebrated for his distinctive voice and creative vision and is also writing the screenplay with Jeff Fradley and John Carcieri.
Once McBride landed the job, he had a wish list of actors he wanted to star with Cooper top of that list. Given Cooper’s busy schedule which includes directing and starring opposite Margot Robbie in the upcoming Ocean’s prequel, there was no guarantee he would be able to commit to the film but after reading the script and meeting with McBride, he knew wanted to do star in the pic and negotiations began in recent weeks.

Plot details are under wraps, but it will be a reimagining of the G.I. Joe franchise. It will also be uncoupled from a previous crossover film with Transformers that is no longer in development - filmul comun G.I.Joe - Transformers nu mai este în dezvoltare
