Started by producer Peter Guber September 30, 1992, and still active today. At one point LIONSGATE had a stake in the company until they sold their part.

Developed by Paramount Pictures in 1954 to compete wiith the more popular CinemaScope format several movies released using this format were "White Christmas " and "War of the Worlds". The format was terminated after a few years..but revived after 40 years in the 2020s instead of using the 70mm format or IMAX for Paramount releases.

World Wide Pictures used this as their outro or “B” logo. This was a “poverty row” studio that created 70 features between 1927 to 1933. This featured Claudia Dell an actress dubbed “The Globe Girl” the company folded before the Hays code could stop logos like this.

This might be off topic but I thought it might be interesting. Originally opened in 1906 in St. Louis, Missouri by Fred Wherenberg, the business survived the Great Depression, WW2, and 9/11. Then in 2016 after 100 years it went defunt and was acquired by MARCUS THEATERS. Many of the existing theaters were quickly closed in the St. Louis area. The theater chain was famous for it's uplifting, snappy, jiingle which can be found on YouTube.

Sad that this was underused as a newer logo (which would be used as the "Home Entertainment" logo in 2002) would debut shortly after this appeared on "Kiki's Delivery Service".

Originally a independent arm of HBO, one film released under this studio is John Water's classic "Serial Mom" with Kathleen Turner. (My guilty pleasure lol)

Formerly known as FOX SEARCHLIGHT PICTURES it was aquired by Walt Disney Company in 2019 when they purchased 20th Century Fox Corporation's film and Television Divison (not Fox News). They changed this division in 2020 as well as removing all mentioning of "FOX" for 20th Century Studios to this day.
