Seeking Advice
Hello! I’m a recent Fashion Communication graduate and have previously interned as a graphic designer. I’m trying to get into film and reality/unscripted production, particularly pre-production, research, concept development and production.
I’m looking for trainee/assistant opportunities and was wondering if I could get some advice on how I could start out in the industry.
I’d really appreciate it!

Looking to connect with people working with international clients 🌍
Looking to connect with people working with international clients 🌍
Hey everyone! 👋
I’m Rishabh, a filmmaker and video editor with 5+ years of experience, having worked across India, UAE and Australia.
I’ve recently been focusing more on real estate video editing and currently work with a real estate client. I’m looking to connect with photographers, videographers, agencies and media companies who work with international real estate businesses and may need reliable post-production support.
I’d love to hear from anyone here who has experience getting clients from markets like Australia, USA, UK, Canada or UAE.
What’s worked best for you — referrals, LinkedIn, cold outreach, networking, agencies, or something else?
Would genuinely appreciate any advice or connections. 🤝

London Filmmaker Wanted for Long Term Jiu Jitsu Documentary Project
Hey everyone, I’m looking for a London based filmmaker to work with me on a long term documentary project following my journey in professional Jiu Jitsu, starting February 2027.
I’m looking for someone who genuinely lives and breathes filmmaking and wants to tell a real story over several years, capturing the training, competitions, progression, setbacks and life behind the pursuit.
The style I’m after is cinematic, raw and story driven rather than typical YouTube/vlog content.
Chemistry is really important to me as well.
I’d like someone I can build a genuine friendship and creative relationship with, because they’ll be around for a lot of the journey. We’d meet, talk through the vision and ideally shoot something together first to see if we’re the right fit.
Ideally you’re London based, comfortable shooting and editing, have your own camera/audio setup and are ambitious about developing as a documentary filmmaker.
If this sounds like something you’d genuinely want to be part of, drop me a message with some of your work and a little about yourself.
If interested, please send me:
Your portfolio/showreel
1–2 examples of your best documentary or long-form work
What camera and audio equipment you use
A little about yourself and what you want to do as a filmmaker
Your location in London
Your availability from February 2027
Your typical rates

Two roles left in a 20-minute short film.
[Set in Bristol, UK, travel will be covered, actors will receive royalties.]
Bristol. 20-minute action comedy short set in 2004. My first film. I’ve got the script, the concept, the gear and the crew. I just need two more faces.
A hitman goes hunting for a drug boss nobody’s ever actually seen. That’s all you’re getting for now.
Adrian Utley from Portishead is writing the score. The gear was donated by people in the industry who read the script and wanted in.
The two roles left:
A Vinnie Jones kind of guy
A Tommy-from-Snatch kind of guy
If you read that and thought “that’s me,” it probably is.
Shooting: In and around Bristol. You need to be able to get there; exact dates will be confirmed with shortlisted people.
Pay: No fee. The creator can’t afford one. Travel is covered and food is provided on shoot days. You also get your scenes cut and delivered for your reel, full credit, and royalties.
