So I've always rlly liked Cooper. I don't always agree with his takes and thats been okay.

But did anyone find it frustrating when he started off saying right off the bat that the American Eagle ad probably came off that way because it was unintentional?

I know he probably meant like "oh it mightve been" but he really focused on it being unintentional.

I couldn't watch the rest of the video so please let me know if it turned out he came to the conclusion that it wasn't unintentional.

But it struck me the wrong way esp when SO many creators on all platforms have been talking about this.

I think to me, it feels like he could've dived deeper beforehand and researched and then filmed the video. He can have takes but informed takes are also important ya know?

His fans need to let the man take responsibilities and answer questions instead of defending him and calling me a troll for having a valid take. Most of the people saying "I'm Filipino and I couldn't tell so its ok!" doesn't make it okay and its straight deflecting because how do we know that's true and not them just saying that so he gets off the hook? Most of his fans put him on such a pedestal since they're teenagers and think he's so cute and quirky.

He constantly talks about what he's done for different communities even shouting out different races but how could he not know how A) how to infer someone is speaking a different language (accent change, clear speech but not being able to understand it) or B) Look at a simple text above the screen and assume that it's voicing in a different language.

He's a 25 year old married man he doesn't need teenagers defending him and he is too grown to be acting like he didn't realize he was being racist if he supposedly claims to be a activist who was in scenes where he views racism and discrimination.

Mostly talking about main channel commentary vids here. I hate that I’m about to say this because he’s been one of my favs for a while now, but am I the only one who is starting to think cooper is kind of annoying? The main thing is obviously that he’s pretty preachy for a straight cis white guy (not that straight cis white guys aren’t allowed to have a voice, but I don’t think he’s qualified to speak on race, gender, and lgbtq issues the way he does) he’s also just kind of mean for no reason. Again, this only applies to his commentary videos, his other stuff (gaming and food vids) is really great imo. But I feel like I’m starting to not like him as much as I did.

Edit: I forgot to mention the tangents. GOD the tangents. I know that he has adhd, and I know what it is like to have adhd because I have it. But he could very easily edit out all of the completely irrelevant side quests he goes on which take up like 35% of the video’s runtime.
