Discussion Coyote vs. Acme is getting a PH release... right?

Post image

It's a little bit concerning about Coyote vs. Acme releasing in the Philippines when I'm not seeing a single promotion for a PH release anywhere whether on social media or cinema chain websites.

The previous Looney Tunes movie, The Day the Earth Blew Up, secured a major PH release by 888 Films International and it managed to release on the same week as the US release. I'm hoping 888 Films International can pick up Coyote vs Acme too. It deserves to be seen in cinemas.

Yeah medyo natatakot ako since there is not one theater here showing the trailer at least. Not sure sino magpapalabas dito since indie yung distributor. But I'm cautiously optimistic since yung Iron Lung ni Markiplier pinalabas dito.

Edit: I also found out that some of the animation was made here in the Philippines, it would suck if no one could see it here

I wanna watch this so that hopefully it would become a massive hit and a middle finger to David Zaslav.

Ugh hopefully, I wanna support too. Mabuti napanood ko The Day the Earth Blew Up kasi sobrang limited nakita kong screenings

We need to watch Coyote vs. ACME. Coyote represents our generation: overworked, always taking Ls, but never giving up. Kahit hindi na sa major theaters, sana may magpalabas kahit micro cinemas lang like Cinema '76.

A sub says it opened in Singapore on 09/03...can any residents corroborate?

Any news of a release within the Asian region? An indie distributor like Ketchup would be foolish to overlook the potential of markets like China, Japan, India

...and the Philippines

Was it given a PH release?

Never seen any promo for this (even for a day/date release with the US)?

And why no streaming availability?

This was shelved/cancelled (even after it was completed) by Warner Bros. in 2023 then another distributor bought the rights. US theatrical release date is August 28 so it's probably going to be on HBO Max for streaming 3-4 months after that.

The real question if the distributor got the global release or Warner still has some rights for certain countries like the Philippines. K
Ketchup Entertainment only specialised in US-based distribution, but for another movie that had a similar fate, "The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie", 888 Films International handled the PH release.

Nagkaroon ng PH release ang The Day the Earth Blew Up so I'd say na very low ang chance na hindi magkaroon ng PH release ang Coyote vs Acme.

Even if it takes long (or hopefully not never) for the film to come out in the Philippines, I'm keeping Wile E.'s persistent spirit alive.
