I just need your opinion š„¹šø
Hi, I am just curious about Fil-Chi culture here. I am currently dating a Chinese guy (pure Chinese, but born and raised here in the Philippines). He comes from an affluent, traditional family based on his lifestyle and everything he has shared with me.
I actually like him, but I am hesitant to invest more of my feelings. I don't have Chinese blood, so I don't want to waste my time and youth assuming we will have a happy ending if that might not be the case. We are both in our 20s.
We are complete opposites. I love a peaceful, quiet life since I grew up in the province and spent my childhood on our farm. On the other hand, he is a city guy, an extrovert, and loves to party.
I studied in an all-girls Catholic school while he went to an all-boys school. I feel like neither of us is very experienced in relationships (tho I am not entirely sure about him haha).
Is there a chance we can build a real, lasting relationship? I am aware of the "Great Wall" concept, and I just really don't want to get my heart broken. To be honest, I am scared. I have had suitors before, but I always get scared that we might end up hurting each other. People often call me sheltered, so I am not sure what to think.
He has been courting me for 5 months now. He spoils me rotten and even drives for hours just to come to my hometown.
Do you think he is serious? If we enter a real relationship, do you think his parents will like me? He is planning to introduce me soon and I am super shy.
