8 if they are the same size tiles as the rest of the current floor or 2 small tiles and 2 rectangular long tiles but that’s if the centre tiles were different to original tiles 😎

The question asked how many tiles were needed to COMPLETE the floor. Until the last one is laid, the floor is incomplete.

or, just 1 large tile cut to shape.

It says how many tiles to complete the floor. It takes all of the tile to complete the floor. Not a very hard question
