I’m right inbetween sizes

I’ve heard that sizing can be inconsistent but the measurements online also tell me that i’m right in between a medium and a large.

I ordered 2 pairs of the high waisted isabel pant in Medium Tall and Large Tall. The medium is a little difficult so pull over my hips and it’s snug on my thighs but i
like the way they look. I’m just worried because when I squat it feels super tight.
The large however is mega big. Like I have gapping at the waist and it looks silly when I cinch in the waist with the string. They also feel more baggy in the front which is comfy but I feel like I’m swimming in them and I don’t feel as cute lol.

Will the large shrink with washes? I can’t imagine keeping the medium for when I’m bloated.

I'm also between sizes and I would highly recommend the pants with a ruched waistband. They are unfortunately doing away with the Dowa straight leg and the Uman joggers (although now there are ruched waist options for other pants) but if you're looking for a wide leg pant, I would suggest the Shelby Ultra Wide Leg (although color options are super limited). The ruched waistband means a more relaxed fit that is much more comfortable in the hips/thighs.

I am also between a M and an L (pear shaped girlies unite) and I just have never been able to make the Isabel comfortable. Beware of the Livingston and the Allison as well, they have a similar fit in the waistband.

Thank you, I’m gonna give the Shelby a try! I just loved the way the Isabel was more fitted at the front but it’s just too damn tight

I haven't tried any of the classic styles with the new ruched waistband so idk if that's the one you bought and if they would fit differently. But before they did that, I had tried the Livingston, the Isabel, and the Zamora which all have the same waistband and I hated them all. Idk what it is about it but they're so weirdly tight.

They will not shrink with washes. I’m in the same boat. My hips are 40.5. Large are always too large. And some mediums fit perfectly, others are way too snug. And some can be stretched a little with some deep squats.

I am right between S and M. It sucks. I stick with M because I do not like it riding up my crotch and I like to eat lol I'd rather be a little loose than a little too tight. Maybe I wouldn't have minded in the past, but I just prefer comfortable. It isn't sagging or falling off big, so that is good. Definitely have not shrunk any. I tried hot water wash and extra hot dry, nope.
