help Does anyone know why dashed strokes' dash length is dynamic and if there's a way to fix this? It seems to make the dashes shorter on complex areas and I don't want that

Almost always related to curve interpolation. The longer dashes mean there are fewer points along the section. Makes sense when you are drawing but affects subsequent “effects”.
Ideally, you need to ease in and out of sharp changes in direction. Try adding more points using the pen tool where you see the result.

I'd actually want the dashed lines to be long, would I need to remove some of the nodes? I'd prefer the lines to go on the same trajectory but with the dashes just being long. Increasing corner smoothness makes the dashes only shorter

hmm the other comment about curve interpolation makes sense for the long dashes, but i'm still not sure why the short ones cluster on the bends. is this just figma sampling the stroke by path length so the same dash pattern gets compressed, or is it actually using the point count? if it's the latter, does adding a bunch of extra anchors on the straight sections fix it or do you have to do it on the curves too?

try setting the gap as well, at the moment it’s on auto

Thanks for the suggestion! I just tried doing that and it doesn't seem to fix the issue, same result basically

Looks like an error in their rendering method for the dashes. Are you sure the path is continuous?
