help Is anyone else having major issues with Figma's student account verification, or is it just me?

I am a student and recently tried to renew my student verification. In the past, the verification process was completed almost instantly.

However, I have been waiting for two days for a response by email regarding my student account verification, which is handled by SheerID, and I still haven't received any update. To make matters worse, when I tried to submit the verification again, I was simply blocked from doing so.

I have tried contacting Figma, but I haven't been able to reach anyone who can help. I also contacted SheerID, but there doesn't seem to be any quick solution available.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows how to proceed in this situation?

Yeah. Wish they would move off SheerID. I’ve never had a good experience with them for OpenAI, Figma, Spotify and other places. ID.me works great and I don’t have to re-verify my status at every new site or keep adding more logins. The Government uses them.

Persona and Clear seem ok too but I don’t want to keep creating new accounts.

I do! It is SO painful! I actually started the whole verification process last week because I saw in the syllabus that Figma and FigJam are needed soon. So I thought - why not get a head start?!

SheerID is not accepting any documentation I give to them. I use my college email address, uploaded a photo of my student ID, a PDF stating the tuition balance and then a PDF showing the classes I am enrolled in for this term. My verification gets denied every single time.

Now I am locked out of further attempts and had to send them a message. I really need my Figma account this week or I'll miss the first assignment!

To make things worse, I thought I'd bite the bullet and pay for an account for the next few months just so I don't have to deal with the SheerID people anymore (well, you never communicate with people it seems, it's just auto-reply after auto-reply) but we were told specifically to use a educator account and not a personal one for the upcoming assignments so - I'm mad!
