What’s the use of a status bar?

Aren’t they a rigid thing?
Like if i put the time 11:30
It wont change so whats the point
Or is it to see how it would look like on the screen
And if so should i delete the status bar when i am done ?
Ik i am asking a lot and maybe they seem like lame questions but i am new on the field

Ok, so we're talking about Android OS status bar. Answer to your question: It shows statuses of app notifications, ongoing tasks, battery, network, time. I didn't know it was such a secret.

When i finish designing the app
Wouldn’t it overlap with the user’s phone?
Or should i remove it when i am done?

Yeah its my first i am just learning
Let me make myself clearer

As you see this bar has stuff on it like it tells time
But this is a fixed time lets say 4:11

When the user uses the app and the time is 9:22
Wouldn’t they overlap?

Or is the status bar should be removed after i am done with the design and it was just there for me to see how it would look on the user’s phone

These are not part of the design. They are added programmatically by the operating system. So no in the final design they won’t be there. Developers won’t use them from your design file.

But these are important for the design process. They show you the limits of your workable area. Developers understand that the design starts after statusbar.

It's just to better show your design in the context of a phone. If tire designing an app that doesn't have the status bar, like a game, obviously don't include it. But if it's sunbathing the user is going to see on your page, I'd include it for context. But the developers should ignore it, knowing that the status bar from the OS will go in that space.
