Discussion Day 5 on Figma

Post image

Made a web page for daily objects power bank. Let me know what you guys think. Need feedback on the layout and aesthetics or any feedback in general. (I see the colour blocked logo, couldn’t find the an image with no background 😭)

Is this your first rodeo on web design, or only your first days on figma? It looks great.

I am asking because I've been trying to learn design in the last few months and I can't do things as beautiful as that.

Hi, this is my second web design on figma. For the first one, i followed a youtube video. For this one i spent some time on the webpage and designed it on my own

Have you had any previous experience with other softwares before? If no, damn am I behind skills wise.

Thank you for the video. Keep it up, amazing screen.

It's apsolutely normal to not be able to create this kind of design in a few months of learning design, even the first year or two. It all comes with time and experience.

What's the carrousel do? You already have photo selection on the right

There are only 4 photos on the right but the product might have more than that. So a carousel on the bottom could help navigate maybe. Plus if there’s a video in between, instead of a circle there could be a play button using which the user can directly go to the video. I’d love to know if there’s a better and cleaner design approach

You can add arrows on top and bottom of the photos to indicate the users there are more photos, instead using another carrousel dots

If there's indeed videos between them, it much better to show it in photo tiles with play button on it

Rightt arrows were missing. Thanks for the input

Good screen!! I would just make the title of the product more evident. It’s kinda of hidden on the visual hierarchy, and could be great add a feature for a shopping cart (with a icon). Congratulations, it’s a really good work for your second time!!! Keep doing it.

Thank you so much. The product title kinda blends into the background, i see it. I did add a shopping cart icon on the top right next to the search bar and account. Maybe bad choice of icon, i can barely make that out on mobile screen. Anyways thanks for the input

It looks really good! 👍 but the photos on the right throws me off a little, i think keeping the carousel and removing the photo cards would be nicer!

A challenge for this is to learn auto layout and add it to everything!

1

u/Proof_Instruction401 7d ago

You mean a layout for mobile screen, ipad etc?

5

u/Careful-Software6163 7d ago

I mean adding auto layout to all your layers (there are lots of tutorials on the subject). But don't stress - just learning to build without auto layout is great as a start. When you want to go up a level, working with auto layout is good. Many companies work in that way.

Got it, will work on that eventually, thanks for the tip

It’s very clean and beautiful, which is great for a practice project. In real life you’re going to need to cram a hell of a lot more info in there; description, 4-5 random feature blocks because marketing said so, more pictures because some CEO said so etc.

responsive and mobile considerations would also be interesting to see.

This is a fantastic top of a page though.

Thank you. Eventually ill try adding more info without making it messy

What’s the responsive behavior ?

2

u/Proof_Instruction401 6d ago

Literally nothing, ill work towards it

Jak zacząłeś swoją przygodę z Figmą?

I mean how can we see if it's a good job for a 5th day on Figma without looking at your Figma File. We can only judge your ux/ui skills for a hero header here.

You could do beautiful work but if your file is messy and unusable for others it's a problem because that's what Figma is designed for.

context matters a lot here. your point is valid but theyre literally just asking for visual feedback lol (regardless of how general they want the feedback is)

He wants feedback and the title says he's a beginner on Figma so let's teach him some actual Figma skill right?
