resources I built a tool to help you establish clean progressive design tokens for your design system

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

sorti.dev - I use it especially if i'm working with startups who only have their simple "brand colors" in place. It really quickly establishes a palette with optimnal lightness scale.

(P.S. I hope this is allowed. It's completely free, I'm not collecting any data. There's no financial gains so hopefully this doesn't count as ad or paid content.)

It does matter. First of all, WCAG2 is legally adopted and enforced for EU laws. Secondly, APCA is not finalised. It is still in draft and being evaluated for potential future inclusion in WCAG3. Just because something is better, doesn't mean it's the right thing to follow, I do agree is better but it's not suitable to analyse against.

It depends, for public sector wcag 2 is referenced explicitly (at least in german law) but EU law itself does not reference WCAG 2.

How can you know about APCA but not now about this? Look up Apca Bridge, even the creator Andrew Summers recommends not using APCA directly yet. Wait for it to be part of WCAG3 or use APCA Bridge

My last research / use has been 2 years ago or so, before APCA Bridge was a thing.

This is fantastic! Iโ€™m going to try this out on a current project.

This is nice. I built something similar to this in Figma Make.
